Suffolk Constabulary is seeking a skilled and motivated MASH Decision Maker to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) within the Vulnerable Persons Directorate.

This is a challenging and rewarding role at the heart of safeguarding, where you will play a critical part in protecting children, young people and vulnerable adults by ensuring timely, informed and proportionate decision-making at the point of referral.

The MASH brings together key partner agencies to assess risk, share information and make safeguarding decisions in line with agreed thresholds and statutory responsibilities. As a MASH Decision Maker, you will:

  • Critically assess child protection and adult safeguarding referrals in line with local and national thresholds
  • Lead and accurately record multi-agency strategy discussions and meetings
  • Make well-balanced, defensible decisions based on risk, vulnerability and available intelligence
  • Provide advice and guidance to officers and staff making contact with the MASH
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with partner agencies, statutory and voluntary organisations

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
