JOB TITLE: Deck Crew / LOLER CP

The post is based offshore on the Neo Next GP3 on a 2/3 rotation on a Fixed Term 12-month Contract.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To ensure all Deck & Lifting Operations on site are carried out in accordance with RRUK Standard for Lifting Operations RSR-TEA-07-PRO-GEN-001 & RSR-TEA-07-STD-GEN-002 & 003, including the development of lift plans.
  • Act as Site Lifting Focal Point Delegate and provide support to stores and materials as required.
  • To coordinate and carry out safe and efficient logistics and support services on site in compliance with all relevant legislation.
  • ‘Live’ our CB&I Values and apply them in day-to-day work.
  • Carry out the following to support work activities on site:
    • Selection and safe operation of suitable rigging equipment.
    • All deck and crane operations.
    • Shipping and standby vessel operations.
    • Movement of material and equipment to work sites.
    • Cleaning, wash down, and waste management.
    • Bunkering of supplies from supply boats.
    • Carry out moving load operations using fixed and portable lifting equipment.
    • Complete planning and risk assessment of lifts.
    • Interpret and work to approved lifting plans.
    • Provide support to scaffolding team.
    • Able to develop effective Lifting Plans, including complex and complicated lifts.
    • Ensuring safe operations using portable lifting equipment.
    • Able to determine suitable levels of supervision for complicated lifts in conjunction with site management.
    • Ensure all personnel involved in lifting operations meet the minimum competence standards.
    • Ensure all lifting equipment used on site is fully certified in compliance with the RRUK and industry standards.
    • Liaise with Onshore Support and appropriate offshore departments for effective planning of Lifting Operations ensuring approvals in place where required.
    • Identify and propose ideas and solutions that will increase efficiency in cost or time without loss of integrity and present idea(s) to relevant management.
    • Support and improve team performance by sharing knowledge and best practices.
    • Participate in appropriate PFM competence scheme including any multi-skilled role.
    • Adopt a flexible working attitude to provide support across all departments to ensure team success.
    • Create, maintain, and enhance effective working relations and identify and minimize interpersonal conflict.
    • Maintain effective communication with all work colleagues at all levels.
    • Ensure comprehensive handovers are carried out at shift and crew change.
    • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and be able to apply it in the workplace.

  • Ensure all work is conducted in full compliance with Repsol’s HS&E policy, procedures, and Safety Management System.
  • Be familiar with, and follow, the Repsol Golden Rules for Health and Safety at all times.
  • Comply with all relevant PFM HS&E policies and procedures where appropriate.
  • Actively participate and support all Repsol and PFM Health, Safety & Environmental plans, initiatives, and improvements.
  • Carry out all activities in accordance with ISSOW including the following:
    • Comprehensive and detailed Risk Assessments and Toolbox Talks.
    • Stop and reassess any job where change is identified.
    • Report all accidents and incidents.
    • Carry out Emergency Response duties as required by site, HDA as a minimum requirement.
    • Carry out competency assessments as required by company.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • OPITO Rigger Competence Assessment
  • OPITO Banksman and Slinger Competence Assessment
  • Working at height Unit 2 – PPE User
  • N/SVQ Level 3 Rigger or Diploma ECITB Moving Engineering Construction Loads
  • CISRS Operative Training Scheme (COTS)
  • GMDSS - Short Range Certificate
  • Working at Height Unit 6 - PPE Inspection
  • Working at Height Unit 7 - Practical Management of Working at Height
  • Lifting Gear Examiner
  • Overhead Gantry Crane Training
  • Winch Operator Training
  • ECITB Appointed Persons Moving Loads (TAP.01)
  • ERT Medical
  • Helideck Operations Initial Training
  • Helideck Emergency Response Team Member (HERTM)
  • Helicopter Refuelling
  • A minimum of 4 years previous experience in Lifting Operations
  • Previous experience in a similar offshore role
  • Previous experience with Maximo or similar CMMS preferred
  • Previous assessor experience to L&D 9DI or equivalent standard preferred
  • Computer literate including use of Microsoft Office suite
