Role Overview
The post holder will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of Sterile Services and Decontamination Services across Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, including responsibility for services provided at the Andover, Basingstoke and Winchester sites, and liaison with external organisations accessing the service.
Responsibilities

Accountability and Compliance: The post holder will be accountable for ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory, regulatory, and professional requirements relating to decontamination and sterilisation services. They will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of accredited quality management systems and working practices in line with current legislation, national guidance, Health Technical Memoranda (HTM 01-01 and HTM 01-06), Medical Device Regulations, and recognised quality standards.

Leadership and Strategy: The post holder will provide expert professional leadership, specialist advice, and strategic direction to the Trust on all aspects of decontamination, sterilisation, and endoscopy decontamination services. They will lead on the development and implementation of service strategies to ensure safe, effective, and sustainable services that support organisational objectives and regulatory compliance.

- Staff Management: The post holder will lead and manage staff within the decontamination specialities, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and professional development. Responsibilities will include workforce planning, recruitment, appraisal, mandatory training, continuing professional development, performance management, and succession planning across all three sites.
