Role Description
The Decorating Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in the London Area, United Kingdom. This role oversees numerous decorating high-end projects from preparation through completion, ensuring work is delivered to a high standard and in line with company procedures and eco-conscious practices.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Planning and organizing jobs
- Supervising decorators on site
- Allocating tasks
- Monitoring quality, timelines, and safety
The Decorating Supervisor will liaise with:
- Head of Operation
- Project Manager
- Contractors
- Clients
They will provide updates, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a professional and courteous service. The role also involves:
- Ordering and managing materials
- Coordinating logistics
- Maintaining accurate records
- Supporting continuous improvement in sustainability and workmanship
Qualifications
- Strong experience in high-end residential and commercial decorating or refurbishment, with proven ability to supervise site teams and manage multiple projects.
- Knowledge of surface preparation, painting techniques, finishes, and the use of tools and equipment commonly used in decorating.
- Understanding of eco-friendly materials and sustainable decorating practices, or willingness to learn and adopt green methods.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to plan workloads, meet deadlines, and adjust to changing priorities.
- Clear, professional communication skills for coordinating with clients, team members, and suppliers.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, ensuring consistent, high-standard finishes and tidy, safe work areas.
- Experience leading or mentoring trade staff, with the ability to motivate a team and handle day-to-day people management on site.
- Efficiency and cost awareness.
- Valid right to work in the UK and ability to travel within the London area.
- Previous experience as a supervisor, lead decorator, or foreperson is highly beneficial.
