The Role
As a Deep Clean Operative you will be joining a strong team of well trained, experienced, and passionate staff delivering bespoke cleaning and maintenance services to our partners. Use the training provided to follow HSQE and rail critical safety. Following WPP’s and designated program to ensure that all deep cleaning and maintenance tasks are completed to the highest of standards and within the timeframes set. Using the systems provided to record work complete and report on faults across the allocated working area in a constructive and professional manner.
Varied shifts ranging from 8 to 12 working hours inclusive of days, nights, weekend days and weekend nights dependant on business needs and requirements. You will be responsible for outputs across the works scoped and delivered.
Main Duties
- Responsibility as a periodic cleaner: Pressure Washing, Reach and Wash, Glazing Cleaning, Floor Scrubbing, Washroom Deep Cleans, Carpet Cleaning, Upholstery Cleaning, Graffiti Removal, Steam Cleaning, High Level Cleaning, Gum Removal, Waste Removal, Full Scope Deep Cleans, Access Equipment Cleaning, Bike Shelter Maintenance, Light Maintenance, Possessions, Isolations.

High Level Cleaning
- Use of GRP Towers or MEWPS in accordance with job requirements.
- Cleaning of facades.
- Glazing and associated frames cleaning *smear free
- Lamp posts/signage/posterboards.
- Canopy and roof cleaning.
- Waiting room/shelter cleaning.
- Station Entrances, Booking Hall, Concourse cleaning.
Washroom Deep Clean
- Toilets and urinals.
- Sinks, taps, and surrounds, Mirrors. *Smear free
- Walls, ledges, and cubicle tops.
- Vents and grills.
- Hand dryers and surrounds.
- Sanitary bins.
- Toilet Paper and Soap dispensers. *Consumable replenishment also required
- Floor scrubbing.
Possession/Isolations
- Attend Possessions and Isolations in line with schedule issued.
- Follow all rail critical safety and ensure that TBS is adhered too.
Use Of Mechanical Equipment
- Scrubbers Dryers/Nano/Rota Wash.
- Steam cleaners.
- Reach and wash systems.
- Pressure washing systems.
- Wet and Dry Vacuums.
- Leaf Blowers.
- Angle Grinders.
- Power Drills.
- Carpet/Upholstery Cleaners.
- Gum Removal Machine.
- These are subject to change depending on business needs
Housekeeping
- Keeping cleaning cupboards clean and tidy.
- Equipment maintained ready for next use.
- Pre use checks completed of all equipment.
- Machine cleaned and placed on charge after use.
- Shared phones to be placed on charge at shift end ready for next user.
- Any faulty items reported to line manager in a timely manner.
- Keeping vans clean and tidy ready for use.
IT Requirements
- Have a basic understanding of app-based software.
- Using a handheld device provided to complete tasks via Work-IT.
- Taking clear and quality before and after photos of tasks completed enabling us to show compliance to our customer.

Mandatory Requirements of Role
- Manual drive license – Use of company vehicle to ensure equipment is available for job.
- Driven a L2H3 van
- IPAF, PASMA and PTS and Harness Trained *Can obtain via Carlisle
Successful candidates will be required to provide original documentation for detailed screening and vetting processes. This could include the following: passport, driving licence, utility bill dated in the last 3 months, HMRC letter, original bank statement, birth certificate or a valid share code.
