Security Controller

Salary: Up to £44,000 per annum

Bonus: Up to 8%

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, days

Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are working with a successful and growing specialist engineering business in York to recruit a Security Controller following an internal move within the business.

About the Role

This is a key position responsible for ensuring the company's security systems, processes and procedures remain effective, compliant and well understood across the business.

Working with employees across the business and external security stakeholders, you'll provide advice, guidance and practical solutions to security and compliance requirements.

The Role Will Involve

  • Leading security assurance activities and supporting List X / FSC compliance
  • Developing, implementing and reviewing security policies and procedures
  • Producing security risk assessments, audits, plans and supporting documentation
  • Ensuring security processes are clearly communicated and understood
  • Managing personnel security vetting for employees and visitors
  • Acting as a key contact for relevant government security representatives and external authorities
  • Providing security advice and guidance to employees at all levels
  • Monitoring compliance and identifying areas for improvement
  • Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Researching and analysing information to develop practical security solutions

You'll Ideally Have

  • Experience implementing and monitoring security activities
  • Experience developing policies, procedures and security processes
  • Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to provide clear advice and guidance at all levels
  • A practical, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach
  • Strong attention to detail and personal integrity
