Defendant Personal Injury Solicitor – Major Injury & Casualty
Birmingham / Remote Working | 2+ PQE
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Defendant Personal Injury Solicitor to join a nationally recognised Major Injury & Casualty team at a leading international law firm.
Working with a well-established team acting for a portfolio of major insurers and household-name clients, you will handle a varied caseload of multi-track RTA and personal injury claims, primarily valued at under £100,000.
This is a great opportunity for a solicitor with defendant litigation experience to develop their expertise within a highly regarded practice, with flexible working arrangements available, including remote working.
The Role
You will manage your own caseload of multi-track defendant personal injury claims, predominantly relating to road traffic accidents, with responsibility for progressing matters efficiently and delivering a high standard of client service.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
