Role Summary
Seeking an experienced Defense & Aviation Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Lead Solution Architect to drive digital transformation, enterprise modernization, and integrated technology solutions across defense, aerospace, aviation, maintenance, manufacturing, logistics, and sustainment operations. The role will be responsible for translating complex business requirements into scalable enterprise solutions while aligning technology strategy with operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary SME for defense, aerospace, and aviation business processes and operations.
- Lead end-to-end solution architecture design for enterprise transformation initiatives.
- Define business, application, data, integration, and technology architectures.
- Conduct workshops with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and technology partners to gather requirements and define future-state solutions.
- Develop enterprise architecture roadmaps and modernization strategies.
- Design integrated solutions across ERP, Asset Management, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Analytics platforms.
- Ensure alignment between business capabilities and technology investments.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that enhance operational readiness, efficiency, and performance.
- Lead architecture governance and ensure adherence to enterprise standards and best practices.
- Provide technical leadership throughout solution design, implementation, and deployment phases.
- Support vendor evaluations, RFP responses, technology assessments, and solution selection activities.
- Collaborate with program managers, project teams, and business leaders to drive successful transformation outcomes.
- Incorporate cybersecurity, compliance, and regulatory requirements into solution designs.

Experience Required
- 15+ years of overall industry experience.
- 10+ years of experience within Defense, Aviation, or Military sectors.
- 5+ years of experience in Solution Architecture or Enterprise Architecture leadership roles.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale digital transformation programs.
- Experience with enterprise application integration and modernization initiatives.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Preferred Certifications
- TOGAF
- PMP / PgMP
- SAP Solution Architect Certifications
