ABOUT THE ROLE:
Undertaking a comprehensive Degree Apprenticeship Programme, you will gain broad experience across all operational departments within the Holywell site. Successfully completing a BSC (Hons) in Applied Business over four years, you will apply academic learning directly in the workplace to support the Holywell Operations Team by progressively contributing to business performance, continuous improvement and cross-functional activities.
During the Apprenticeship, you will develop the skills, knowledge and behaviors required to become a competent operations professional through a combination of structured academic study and practical on-the-job training.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Development & Learning
- Observe, learn and understand a wide range of operational processes and business functions under the guidance of experienced colleagues.
- Gradually apply learned skills in a practical environment, working both independently and as part of a team.
- Complete all academic modules of the degree programme, achieving the required standards for progression and qualification.
- Maintain an up-to-date Apprentice Development Plan, recording learning objectives, project work and skills development.

- Marketing
- Develop an understanding of how each function contributes to overall business performance and customer outcomes.
Operational Contribution
- Support day-to-day departmental activities and projects, increasing responsibility as competence grows.
- Use company systems effectively to manage workload and complete assigned tasks.
- Interpret instructions, technical information and process documentation to a high standard of accuracy.
- Participate in team meetings, daily reviews and continuous improvement discussions.

Projects & Communication
- Complete project work aligned to both academic requirements and business needs.
- Deliver presentations and reports following each placement, demonstrating learning outcomes and business impact.
Standards, Compliance & Safety
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures and legal requirements.
- Ensure adherence to relevant ISO standards, including:
- ISO 9001 (Quality)
- ISO 14001 (Environmental)
- ISO 45001 (Health & Safety)
- ISO 50001 (Energy Management)
- ISO 37301 (Compliance Management)
- Support and operate in line with the organisation’s Compliance Management
System, including:
- Adhering to all compliance obligations and procedures.
- Reporting any compliance concerns or incidents.
- Participating in mandatory training and awareness activities.
General Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a proactive, flexible and professional approach at all times.
- Carry out any other duties appropriate to the role and level of the apprenticeship.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 GCSE’s or more including Maths and English.
- 3 A Levels Graded B or above or equivalent. (HE Diploma/BTEC above 18 units with Distinction, Distinction, Merit or above).
- Good computer and MS Office skills.
- Time management and organisation skills.
- Good problem solver.
- A keen interest in operations and/or relevant departments.
