The Opportunity

ISMG is seeking a Delegate Acquisition Manager to join our dynamic Global Events team and drive attendee recruitment and community management for our vendor-sponsored Roundtable Event portfolio.

In this role, you will focus on understanding the target audience of our client sponsors and utilizing a variety of strategies to identify, attract, and secure qualified guests for each assigned event, ensuring attendance goals are met and client satisfaction is achieved. You’ll be engaging with high-level cybersecurity and information security delegates around the world, so the ability to operate in each coastal time zone, as necessary, is imperative.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Satisfying attendance and registration goals for assigned Executive Roundtable events, converting executive leadership prospects into event participants.
  • Identifying and pursuing qualified attendees, leveraging our internal contact database and defined smart lists, conducting independent research via LinkedIn/other relevant channels, and networking with industry professionals for referrals.
  • Utilizing a variety of strategies and tactics to connect with attendee prospects, including phone call, Social Media/LinkedIn, and/or email, to generate event interest and secure registrations.
  • Creating and managing email invitations, utilizing A/B testing, and analyzing email performance to improve response rates and increase conversions.
  • Tracking attendance confirmations and limiting attrition through consistent communication with registrants throughout the event life cycle.
  • Maintaining and nurturing a past attendee and prospect database utilizing ISMG’s CRM tools.
  • Engaging in post-event conversations to collect feedback from attendees and gauge interest in attending future events.
  • Monitoring industry trends and staying up-to-date on new marketing technologies and techniques.

What You Bring to the Table

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Marketing, Events, or related fields.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Event Recruitment, Delegate Acquisition or Sales, Audience/Attendance Development, or similar role.
  • Experience supporting B2B events with cybersecurity and/or information technology industry exposure being a plus.
  • Strong recruitment skills including the ability to effectively research markets, identify and qualify prospects, develop and implement outreach/messaging strategies, and produce high percentage conversation rates to attain goals.
  • Ability to effectively navigate conversations with prospects, concisely convey event value propositions, and alter messaging based on a prospect’s individual interests.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and experience engaging with industry professionals and senior executives.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with an ability to work independently in a fast-paced media and events environment.
  • Multi-language capabilities is highly preferred.
