Our client is a leading global events business delivering high-profile conferences focused on innovation across the insurance and InsurTech sector. They are looking for a driven and ambitious Delegate Sales & VIP Executive to join their growing team.
£33,000-£35,000 based on experience + OTE £50,000+
South West London | Hybrid
Sector: B2B Events / Insurance & InsurTech
This is a highly commercial, target-driven role focused on generating delegate revenue and securing senior VIP attendees across a portfolio of international events. The successful candidate will build relationships with senior stakeholders across insurers, MGAs, brokers and investors, using a consultative sales approach to demonstrate the value of attending the events.
The Role
- Drive delegate sales revenue and secure high-quality VIP attendees across international events
- Conduct high-volume outbound sales activity across phone, email and LinkedIn
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of new and existing clients
- Develop relationships with senior decision-makers and key industry stakeholders
- Clearly communicate the value of attending events and being part of the wider industry network
- Identify new prospects, leads and emerging sectors to create additional sales opportunities
- Upsell additional delegate places to sponsors and exhibitors
- Work closely with Marketing, Conference Production and Audience teams to target the right audiences
- Achieve weekly and monthly outreach, revenue and VIP acquisition targets
- Keep up to date with industry developments and use market intelligence to identify new opportunities
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline information and sales reporting
- Attend industry events, networking functions and VIP experiences, with some international travel required

About You
Our client is looking for someone who is super driven, motivated and commercially focused, with a genuine hunger to build a career in events sales.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have:
- 1+ years' sales experience within the events/conferences industry
- Experience in delegate sales, sponsorship, media sales or B2B sales
- A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Strong outbound sales experience, particularly over the phone
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive approach to lead generation and prospecting
- The ability to manage a high-volume sales pipeline and prioritise opportunities effectively
- Strong commercial awareness and the confidence to identify and close new opportunities
- Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce is desirable
- A resilient, competitive and target-driven approach
- Insurance or InsurTech experience is desirable but not essential

This role would suit someone who is ambitious, competitive and highly motivated by hitting targets. They will be confident picking up the phone, comfortable working at pace and genuinely excited by the opportunity to build relationships with senior industry figures.
