Our client is a leading events business delivering high-profile conferences across the life sciences sector, and they are looking for a driven and ambitious Delegate Sales Executive to join their growing team.

£33,000-£35,000 based on experience + OTE £50,000+
South West London | Hybrid
Sector: B2B Events / Life Sciences

This is a highly commercial, target-driven role focused on bringing senior decision-makers from biotech, pharma, healthcare, academia, and investment organizations to their events. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and engaging relevant prospects, building a strong pipeline, and converting them into high-value delegates.

The Role

  • Drive delegate sales through proactive outbound activity across phone, email, and LinkedIn
  • Research and identify senior decision-makers across biotech, pharma, healthcare, academia, and investment
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, ensuring targets are consistently achieved
  • Qualify prospects and convert them into confirmed event attendees
  • Use tools such as Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Apollo to identify and engage new prospects
  • Conduct market research to identify new companies, industry trends, and commercial opportunities
  • Work closely with the Sponsorship team to identify target companies and support sponsor campaigns
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Conference Production to ensure the right audiences are being targeted
  • Build strong relationships with senior executives and key industry contacts
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and reporting

About You

Our client is looking for someone who is super driven, motivated, and commercially minded, with a genuine desire to build a successful career in sales.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have:

  • 1+ years' sales experience within the events/conferences industry
  • A proven track record of working towards and achieving sales targets
  • Strong outbound sales experience across phone, email, and LinkedIn
  • Excellent research, prospecting, and lead-generation skills
  • Confidence speaking with senior-level decision-makers
  • Experience working with a CRM system such as Salesforce
  • A highly proactive and resilient approach to sales
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to work at pace, manage multiple campaigns, and stay organized

Life sciences experience is desirable but not essential - the key requirement is someone with B2B/event sales experience who is hungry to succeed.

The Person

This role would suit someone who is ambitious, competitive, and genuinely motivated by hitting targets. Our client is looking for someone who isn't afraid to pick up the phone, enjoys building relationships, and is constantly looking for new opportunities.
