The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Delegate Sales Manager to join a successful and rapidly growing international events business.

The successful candidate will take ownership of delegate sales across a portfolio of high-profile global events, leading revenue generation, developing strategic client relationships and driving attendance from senior decision-makers.

This is a commercially focused role for an ambitious sales professional with a proven track record within delegate sales, conference sales, sponsorship, media or B2B events.

You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities while maximising revenue from existing clients, working closely with marketing, content and event teams to ensure ambitious audience and revenue targets are achieved.

This is still a delivery role, ideally looking for a delegate sales executive who has 2 years experience, ready and looking for that next step up in their career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of delegate sales revenue across a portfolio of leading international events.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed agreed revenue targets.
  • Generate new business through proactive outbound calling, prospecting and market research.
  • Manage and develop relationships with existing clients and high-value prospects.
  • Build relationships with senior decision-makers across target industries and organisations.
  • Identify key prospects and develop tailored approaches to convert them into event attendees.
  • Lead the sales process from initial prospecting through to conversion and attendance.
  • Drive delegate registrations from senior-level industry professionals and decision-makers.
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue through upselling additional delegate places and event packages.
  • Work closely with sponsors and exhibitors to maximise delegate attendance and engagement.
  • Monitor sales pipelines, conversion rates and performance against targets.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records and sales forecasts.
  • Provide regular reporting and commercial insight to senior management.
  • Work collaboratively with marketing and content teams to develop campaigns and maximise audience growth.
  • Research market developments, competitor activity and emerging sectors to identify new opportunities.
  • Coach and support junior members of the sales team where appropriate.
  • Attend industry events, networking functions and client meetings when required.
  • Represent the business professionally when engaging with senior industry stakeholders.
  • International travel may be required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
