Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Delegated Authority Business Partner in our Delegated Authority team.
About the Role
Our Delegated Authority team plays a key role in supporting the efficient and compliant oversight of delegated authority business across the organisation. Working closely with underwriters, claims teams, brokers, coverholders, and other third parties, the team helps ensure strong operational delivery, effective governance, and a high standard of service across delegated authority and conduct activities.

What you’ll be doing:
- Support all Delegated Authority onboarding activity, including coordinating pre-inception due diligence and engaging with underwriters, claims managers, brokers, coverholders, and other delegated authority holders to ensure the timely completion of questionnaires and approval processes.
- Review delegated authority contracts to help ensure appropriate terms are in place, working closely with Underwriters, Claims, Brokers, and Coverholders.
- Act as a key contact for delegated authorities, claims managers, and underwriters, managing queries and liaising with relevant internal departments to support efficient resolution.
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to maintain delegated authority service delivery, including monitoring service levels, bordereaux processing, and the dissemination of performance and regulatory information linked to claims service delivery and Conduct Risk compliance.
- Support conduct-related activities, including product oversight procedures, product reviews, and the ongoing application of delegated authority governance requirements.
- Produce and analyse regular management information and team reporting, identifying trends, issues, and opportunities for process improvement while working collaboratively with offshore team members and wider stakeholders.

What you’ll bring:
- Familiarity with Lloyd’s market operational processes and a good understanding of delegated authority administration within the London Insurance Market.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to review detailed reports and summarise key information clearly for stakeholders and management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships internally and externally.
- A collaborative approach to working, including the ability to coordinate effectively with remote and offshore teams.
- Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in the London Insurance Market in an operational, reporting, or support role.
- Progression toward ACII is preferred, or a willingness to undertake professional study while in role.
