Lloyd’s

Lloyd’s is the world’s leading insurance and reinsurance marketplace, bringing together the world’s leading risk takers to advance global progress.

Our strategy is focused on delivering strong underwriting performance, operating an efficient and flexible marketplace, and maximising the capital advantage of the Lloyd’s market — while continuing to build a Lloyd’s we are proud of.

How we deliver this, matters. We take the risk, make things happen, and own the outcome — working together across our global network to turn insight into impact.

We're looking for a Delegated Authority Oversight Manager to help shape and strengthen one of the most important distribution channels in the Lloyd's market. This is a market-facing role where you'll influence standards, challenge thinking, and drive better outcomes across a complex global network of Managing Agents, MGAs, brokers and delegated authority partners.

If you're passionate about risk-based oversight and building trusted relationships, this is your opportunity to make a direct impact across the market.

The role

You'll oversee the delegated authority capabilities of a portfolio of Managing Agents, helping ensure they're operating in line with Lloyd's Principles for Doing Business while promoting best practice across the market. Working closely with colleagues across Market Oversight, Underwriting Performance and our global network, you'll use insight, data and market knowledge to identify risks, influence improvements and support sustainable market performance.

You'll play a key role in helping us build a more sophisticated, resilient and effective delegated authority ecosystem.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing risk-based oversight of Managing Agents' delegated authority business.
  • Assessing capabilities through targeted reviews, assurance activities and thematic work.
  • Building strong, transparent relationships with market participants to support effective oversight and information sharing.
  • Maintaining Lloyd's view of Managing Agents' delegated authority capability and contributing to governance forums.
  • Overseeing a select portfolio of strategically important MGAs, broker facilities and structured programme providers.
  • Leading interventions where material issues arise, ensuring actions are proportionate, evidence-based and focused on the right outcomes.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across Lloyd's to align oversight activity and share market insight.
  • Acting as a trusted authority on delegated authority matters, responding to complex market queries and communicating Lloyd's risk appetite clearly.
  • Supporting Country Managers in the assessment of MGA applications and local market risks.
  • Identifying opportunities to simplify, automate and improve the way we work.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
