Join Our Team
We are looking for a Delegated Underwriting Authority Executive to report to the Head of Program Management at SiriusPoint.
As a proactive Program Manager focused on Managing General Agents (MGAs) and delegated underwriting programs, you will enhance relationships with MGAs, ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, and drive profitable growth through effective program management. Collaboration with internal teams, including underwriting, claims, finance, and compliance, will be essential for successful program implementation and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with MGAs, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
- Manage the onboarding process for new MGAs.
- Monitor MGA performance against KPIs and contractual obligations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing action plans.
- Collaborate with legal, underwriting, claims, and business development teams to negotiate clear contracts with MGAs.
- Develop and maintain requirements for MGAs, ensuring adherence to company standards and regulations.
- Assess and manage risks associated with MGAs and delegated underwriting programs to mitigate potential losses.
- Ensure MGA compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, aligning with our philosophies and values.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities for new program development.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management on program performance, issues, and recommendations.
- Support MGAs on underwriting guidelines and product knowledge to enhance their capabilities.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and participate in initiatives to streamline program management.

Key Accountabilities:
- Serve as a key contact for Delegated Underwriting inquiries across all classes.
- Ensure all MGAs and Delegated Underwriting Programs comply with SiriusPoint’s MGA Playbook and Policies.
- Coordinate and attend Deal and Portfolio Committee meetings as necessary.
- Assist in maintaining the SiriusPoint International and Syndicate audit diary for all coverholder business.
- Conduct visits and reviews of coverholders/MGAs as part of the audit process, involving SINT/SIMA personnel or external auditors.
Technical Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CPCU, ACII AINS) are a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in program management, underwriting, or managing MGAs in the insurance industry.
- Strong understanding of multi-class insurance products, underwriting principles, and the role of MGAs in distribution.
- Knowledge of insurance regulations and best practices for program management and delegated underwriting authority.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for assessing program performance data and making data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for effective interaction with MGAs, TPAs, and internal stakeholders.
- Proven success in relationship management and a customer-centric approach to partnerships.
- Project management expertise for planning, executing, and monitoring program initiatives.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and changing market conditions.
- Team player with leadership qualities, capable of motivating cross-functional teams.
