Axion Fire Compliance - Overview
Fire Compliance is the Axion team responsible for delivering fire risk assessment and fire door inspection programmes to housing associations, local authorities and building stock managers across the UK. The Delivery function within it plans the work, allocates it to our national network of field-based assessors, tracks it through to issued report, and makes sure clients receive accurate work on time. It is a fast-moving, data-driven environment where good organisation has a direct bearing on whether a landlord meets its statutory obligations.

About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and organised individual to join our team as a Delivery Co-ordinator. In this role you will play a key part in our fire risk assessment team, overseeing the allocation of work to field-based assessors, ensuring assessments are completed on time, and maintaining high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will have good organisational skills, the ability to work under pressure and be an all-round team player.
The candidate will have good Excel knowledge and a willingness to learn new systems as and when required, including the Riskhub platform used to plan and track all of our delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Allocate Work:
- Efficiently allocate fire risk assessment and fire door inspection tasks to field-based assessors based on their competence, workload and geographic location.
- Prioritise assignments to meet organisational, client and statutory deadlines.

Manage Data:
- Maintain accurate delivery records in the Riskhub platform and supporting systems, covering large volumes of assessment and inspection data.
- Conduct regular data quality checks, identify discrepancies, and collaborate with relevant teams to resolve them at source.
- Support reporting and analysis by preparing and organising datasets.

Quality Assurance:
- Review completed fire risk assessments before issue to allocated clients, and provide regular feedback on quality and completeness.
- Provide feedback to assessors for continuous improvement, and pass recurring issues to the Head of Assessors so they can be addressed through training rather than repeated correction.

Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between field-based assessors and the central office for programme-related queries.
- Facilitate clear and timely communication regarding schedules, client requirements, and any challenges faced by assessors.

Supporting Assessor Development:
- Coordinate attendance at training sessions and workshops arranged by the Head of Assessors, and keep accurate records of completion.
- Flag development needs and emerging competence gaps identified through day-to-day contact with the assessor network.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of assigned tasks, completed assessments, remedial actions and any issues encountered.
- Generate reports on programme progress and team performance for the Senior Delivery Manager and Head of Delivery.

Resource Management:
- Monitor and manage the availability of resources required for field-based assessments, including personnel, equipment and uniform.

Reception cover when required:
You should apply if you:
- Have proven experience in a coordination, scheduling or administrative role, ideally supporting field-based engineers, assessors or surveyors.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to hold a schedule together when plans change at short notice.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, and confidence dealing with field-based colleagues you will rarely meet in person.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality assurance.

Work Location
The role is based in our London hub, located in Farringdon for 4 days a week.

Interview Process
Our goal is to keep the interview process fairly simple to keep you engaged, but thorough enough to help us each understand if we’re a good fit for each other.
This is what the process will look like for this role:
Step 1: 30-min initial meeting to get to know each other with the Head of Delivery/HR Manager to discuss your background and past experiences – so that we can understand if your skills and expertise match what we’re looking for
Step 2: 60-min in-person meeting to get to know each other with the Head of Delivery/Senior Delivery Manager to discuss your background, past experiences, the role and the expectations further.
Throughout the process we’ll give you insights into Axion and Riskhub, we welcome any questions as we want to make sure you’re joining a team and company you’ll be excited to be part of.
