360 Recruitment Consultant – US Market - London (3 days)

Permanent | Corporate Governance & Technology
£30,000 - £40,000 + Comms

You can be good at recruitment without wanting to spend your career filling the same easy roles from the same tired database.

If you’re going to work US hours, there should be a proper upside to it. Here, you’ll recruit permanent technology professionals across New York and Boston, specialising in Software Engineering, Data, AI and Corporate Governance.

These aren’t high-volume, keyword-matching markets. You’ll need to understand what you’re recruiting, properly headhunt people who aren’t necessarily looking, and become useful enough to candidates and clients that they actually want to speak to you again.

You’ll build relationships with hiring managers and own the whole process from finding the vacancy through to somebody accepting the job.

That means more control over your desk, your relationships and ultimately what you can earn from it.

You’ve built proper networks in a niche market, found difficult-to-reach candidates and learned how to headhunt rather than simply work through a huge available talent pool, that experience can translate well here.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The hours are deliberately built around the US market:

  • Monday to Thursday you’ll work 11:00–20:00, putting you online when clients and candidates across New York and Boston actually are.
  • Friday is different: 08:30–17:00, so your weekend still starts at a fairly normal time.

What you’ll be doing

As a delivery consultant, you will work with clients to understand their hiring problems and turn those relationships into mutually beneficial relationships.

That means mapping your market, headhunting specialist technology professionals, qualifying them properly and managing both sides through interviews, negotiations, offers and placements.

Over time, the aim is simple: build a market where you know the good candidates, the growing businesses and the people making hiring decisions.

What you’ll need

  • Previous agency recruitment experience.
  • Technology recruitment experience would be particularly relevant, especially across Software Engineering, Data, Machine Learning or AI.
  • You could come from a delivery background where you’ve recruited genuinely specialist or difficult-to-find people.
  • The important bit is that you know how to search, headhunt, qualify and build relationships with candidates in a niche market. High-volume recruitment where candidates are relatively easy to find won’t give you quite the same grounding.
  • You’ll also need to be comfortable working the US-aligned hours: 11:00–20:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:30–17:00 Friday.

About the company

This is a specialist recruitment business building permanent technology markets across the US, with a particular focus on New York and Boston.

The opportunity suits somebody who wants to become genuinely knowledgeable in a defined market rather than being another recruiter covering anything with a vaguely technical job title.

What you’ll get

  • A specialist US permanent recruitment desk
  • Focus on progressive markets
  • New York and Boston markets
  • Ownership of the full 360 recruitment process
  • The opportunity to build long-term client and candidate relationships
  • US-aligned working hours, with an earlier Friday finish

No perfectly polished CV required (but you must know your numbers!).

Send me an old one, or just message Will Grashoff on LinkedIn with your profile. We can deal with the formal stuff later.
