Prism Improvement

To do this we use small, highly experienced teams of skilled specialists to enhance the capacity and resilience of NHS staff. We work collaboratively, engaging with all key stakeholders along the way, to build change from the ground up. We implement interventions that optimise urgent & emergency and elective care pathways and provide tools to monitor their effectiveness ensuring that a culture of continuous improvement to drive long term, sustainable change is embedded.
Role Description
- Responsible for leading multiple programmes across the planned care portfolio of Prism Improvement Ltd, ensuring that teams use the Prism methodology in delivery, educating client-based teams with a focus on sustainability throughout.
- Responsible for the development, design and delivery of the phases of a Prism programme, notably Insight & Discovery, Rapid Implementation, Optimising Improvement and Handover.
- Responsible for leading on the continuous development and design of the Prism Methodology for the Planned Care portfolio.
- Responsible for developing client relationships, creating a network of personal contacts providing opportunities to sell additional work with existing clients.
- Actively responsible for seeking Business Development opportunities across planned care, but also supporting opportunities for all elements of the Prism Improvement portfolio, for example across Urgent & Emergency Care.
- Support the Managing Director in developing and design of the permanent Prism delivery team structure and associate models.
- Responsible for proposal writing and mobilisation of a team to deliver the positive outcome for Prism Improvement.

- Lead the implementation of specific programmes as required by the Managing Director, including the set up and mobilisation phases which will include the organisation and allocation of resources
- Ensure that each programme follows the phases outlined and agreed as part of any contract and that the key deliverables within each phase are tracked effectively in collaboration with the onsite delivery team(s)
- Ensure that delivery teams are working to detailed workstream plans for the delivery of specific programmes across our portfolio of clients.
- Ensure that assigned programmes meet key milestones and timescales.
- Ensure that programmes have agreed KPIs set with baselines captured to illustrate and monitor the impact of specific changes including trajectories and programme targets.
- Lead onsite delivery teams, ensuring that Programme trackers are fully utilised and internal governance arrangements are in place with the Managing Director along with regular executive reviews.
- Ensure effective communication is developed and maintained with clients and the organisation’s members on the progress and successes of the programmes.
- Develop senior and executive client relationships on programmes, to support the delivery of high-quality outcomes and for business development opportunities.
- Represent Prism professionally both internally and externally and champion the role of the Prism Improvement Team.
Development Responsibilities
- Develop the Prism model for programme management and improvement, taking lessons learnt from each programme and integrating them into how we support organisations going forward
- Responsible for the continuous development and delivery of the Prism Improvement ‘onboarding’ process, for permanent staff and associates.
- Responsible for the continuous development and delivery of the Prism methodology for
- Responsible for leading on the development and design of the Prism Planned Care products, including, but not restricted to:
- Access and Referral Management
- Digital and Virtual Opportunities
- Patient Experience and Access
- Clinical Effectiveness and Variation
- Data, Analytics and Insights
- Responsible for leading the development and use of the ‘test and learn’ methodology for planned care programmes,
- Responsible for detailed analysis of highly complex information in relation to multiple aspects of client performance. This information will be used to drive change, working in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Ensure the application of quality improvement tools and techniques, providing coaching and training as required.
- Compile a portfolio of case studies for programmes with regular updates to Prism Executives and Board
- Continually reviewing improvement techniques to remain relevant within the NHS environment, keeping the Prism executive updated and enhancing Prism products for delivery.
- Continually reviewing KPIs that are relevant at a national level to ensure that our programmes remain relevant on delivery, providing advice to Prism Executives on change in areas of national focus.

Skills & Experience
- Able to engage and influence senior clients and networks based on sophisticated oral and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage large/multiple team(s) to deliver under pressure to strict deadlines whilst maintaining team morale and the quality of outputs
- Ability to understand complex data to support insights and recommendations
- Expertise in effective change management and driving behavioural change
- Can independently build strong, trust based advisory relationships with senior clients
- Manages and maintains an effective network across the sector bringing market insight, hiring opportunity and business development leads
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft packages
- Strong programme management skills with excellent attention to detail and ability to ensure quality of all project outputs
- A willingness and ability to travel and work at client sites
- Educated to degree level and / or equivalent experience
- Recognisable as a healthcare and provider specialist with operational and/or management experience at a senior level within the health service OR management consultancy within the healthcare sector
- An understanding of the current NHS operating model including financial constraints and strategic direction
- Understands the consulting market / context to identify business development opportunities
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in data analysis
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage client engagements and work to deadlines
- Plays a leadership role in the development of major proposals and drives compliance with internal processes, ensuring all commercial opportunities are properly qualified
