At IKEA Leeds we have exciting opportunities for Delivery Drivers to join our growing team!

Are you physically fit, motivated, and comfortable with an active role involving regular lifting?

As a Delivery Driver, you will shape a new area in our business, ensuring the on-time delivery to customers, whilst delivering a high level of service. All successful applicants will complete two weeks of IKEA training, followed by one week of shadowing, before beginning driving duties.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • The Start Date of employment will be: 18th October 2026
  • This role offers a salary of £28,500.00 per annum, based on competence & prior experience.
  • 39 Hours per week, this role has a rolling shift pattern of 4 days working and 2 days per week off, including weekends. Working shifts between the hours of 06:30am - 16:30pm, with expectation to complete deliveries where delays may occur.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

  • Hold a full UK driving licence for at least 24 months, you are a practiced and capable driver. You should also be comfortable using GPS and digital mapping systems to plan and navigate delivery routes.
  • You are motivated to deliver a great customer experience and are comfortable taking action when unexpected problems come up.
  • You have a good understanding of dynamic risk assessments, take Health & Safety seriously, and are skilled at assessing and managing risks within your working environment.
  • You are attentive to details especially when it comes to performing checks on your vehicle, training will be provided.
  • You are someone who offers support and will step in to assist your team when necessary to secure tasks in connection to your role.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

  • You will be responsible for completing vehicle safety checks and taking appropriate action.
  • You’ll safely and efficiently load and unload goods for up to three delivery runs per day, keeping the van organised and ensuring each route is prepared to meet allocated delivery times, with loads of up to 1.4 tonnes.
  • You will deliver goods to customer’s homes and take them into a nominated room, carrying out risk assessments on location to prevent injury and damage to property.
  • Efficiently manage the collection and processing of returned products, ensuring compliance with IKEA's returns policy.
  • You’ll manage your time effectively to complete deliveries within allocated daily routes, while using data to identify opportunities for improved routing and providing constructive feedback where necessary.
