Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Delivery Driver role based in Northampton. The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely loading, transporting, and unloading commercial and industrial rental equipment to and from customer locations and company sites. Day-to-day tasks include performing basic vehicle and equipment checks, securing loads, following scheduled routes, and maintaining accurate delivery and pickup documentation. The role involves interacting with customers on-site, providing clear information about deliveries, and coordinating with the operations team to ensure timely and efficient service. The Delivery Driver is expected to follow all safety regulations, comply with company procedures, and support occasional warehouse or yard duties as needed.

  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and colleagues.
  • Experience with forklift operation or similar material-handling equipment, with a commitment to safe loading and unloading practices.
  • Ability to provide basic training or guidance to customers on equipment handling, as appropriate for the role.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; eligibility to operate commercial vehicles as required by local regulations.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to handle manual tasks such as lifting, moving, and securing equipment.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail in documentation and adherence to safety procedures.
