Role Description

This full-time, on-site role is based in the Greater Blackburn with Darwen Area and combines delivery driving with warehouse operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Safely loading, transporting, and unloading hygiene and safety products to customer locations, following agreed routes and schedules.
  • In the warehouse, receiving goods, picking and packing orders, organizing stock, and maintaining a clean, safe working environment.
  • Careful completion of delivery paperwork, basic vehicle checks, and clear communication with the operations team to resolve any delivery or stock issues.

Qualifications

  • Relevant driving skills, including a valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and familiarity with local routes and basic vehicle checks.
  • Warehouse and inventory skills, such as order picking and packing, stock handling, and maintaining organized storage areas.
  • Customer service and communication skills to interact professionally with customers and colleagues and handle delivery queries effectively.
  • Health, safety, and manual handling awareness, with the ability to follow procedures and work safely with products and equipment.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills for reading delivery notes, labels, and instructions, and for accurate counting and recording of stock.
  • Ability to work reliably in a team environment, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing delivery schedules and warehouse priorities.
