Delivery Driver – Lighting Products & Components | City of London and Greater London
We are looking for a reliable, professional and hard-working Delivery Driver to join our team, delivering lighting products, components and related goods to customers and sites across Greater London, with a specific focus on City of London, and when required, surrounding areas.
This is a hands-on role involving regular physical loading and unloading of boxes and products, so applicants must be comfortable with manual handling as part of their working day.
Working Hours
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Base: Located in Chessington KT9
- Typical Hours: 7:00am–3:00pm
- Additional Notes:
- Hours may vary depending on delivery schedules, traffic, and business requirements
- Weekend work and overtime may occasionally be required
- Delivery areas may vary, and you may be required to travel outside our usual Greater London delivery area
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lighting products, components and related goods to customers and sites
- Carry out deliveries throughout City and Greater London
- Complete deliveries outside the usual delivery area when required
- Physically load and unload boxes and products from the delivery vehicle
- Handle all goods carefully to ensure they arrive safely and in good condition
- Check deliveries against paperwork before departure
- Obtain delivery confirmations/proof of deliveries where required
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes
- Communicate with the office regarding deliveries, delays, or any issues
- Maintain a professional and courteous manner when dealing with customers
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean, tidy, and presentable
- Obey all legal rules of the road
- Assist with loading and general warehouse duties when required

What We're Looking For
- Aged 25 or over due to vehicle insurance requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Confident and comfortable driving in City and Central areas
- Good knowledge of London roads and surrounding areas
- Physically able and comfortable with regular loading, unloading, and manual handling of boxes
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Able to work independently and manage a daily delivery schedule
- Flexible regarding working hours and delivery locations
- Willing to work occasional weekends and overtime when required
- Previous delivery driving experience preferred
