Location: Loughborough, Bishop Meadow Road

Job Type: Full-time, 6-Month Contract

Hours: Monday - Friday, 40.5 hours/week (approx. 4:00 AM to 2:00 PM)

Pay Rate: GBP 16.00/hour (Equivalent to GBP 30,000 salary)

About The Role

We are looking for a reliable, professional Delivery Driver to handle the collection and delivery of goods to and from customer and supplier locations. This role involves route planning, safe vehicle operation, and delivering strong customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
  • Deliver and collect goods safely in accordance with customer site regulations.
  • Sort parcels into mode, route, and drop sequence.
  • Complete delivery run sheets and accurately report missed deliveries or shortages.
  • Coordinate empty chemical bottle collections from route customers.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and a high standard of housekeeping.
  • Follow driver codes of conduct, M.O.T regulations, highway code, and safety protocols for handling hazardous materials.
  • Adapt to route changes on short notice and occasionally complete overnight stay 2-day runs as needed.

Requirements

  • Licensing: Clean, current UK driving license (minimum Class C and C1).
  • Experience: Previous delivery driving experience, particularly with multi-drop routes and ADR / Dangerous Goods handling.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and move loads up to 25kg.
  • Professionalism: Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-focused attitude.
  • Certifications (Preferred): Driver CPC and ADR vocational license.
