I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Shopping payments and reimbursement
For accepted orders, you will normally use your own funds to purchase the customer's requested items. Approved shopping expenditure is reimbursed separately from your delivery earnings after the required receipt and evidence have been submitted and approved. Onwayy currently aims to process approved reimbursements within two hours. This is an operational target and is not a guaranteed payment time.
What you will need
- You must be 18 or over.
- You must have the right to undertake self-employed work in the UK.
- A smartphone with mobile data.
- Access to suitable transport.
- Any driving licence, vehicle insurance and other cover required for your chosen method of transport and delivery activity.
- Sufficient funds to purchase items for accepted shopping orders before reimbursement.
- Suitable bags for transporting orders safely.
- Good communication skills and a reliable approach to shopping and delivery.
