Delivery Van Driver
We are seeking an energetic and reliable Delivery Van Driver who has their own van to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering goods to customers, ensuring timely arrivals and excellent service. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help us maintain high standards of delivery excellence, contributing to customer satisfaction and the smooth operation of our distribution network. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be a vital part of a fast-paced delivery environment where your driving skills and positive attitude make a real difference.
Duties
- Safely operate a commercial van to deliver packages and goods to various locations within designated routes
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to maximize productivity and meet delivery deadlines
- Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly for transit
- Verify delivery details, obtain signatures, and handle customer interactions professionally
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety standards are met and report any issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and records of all deliveries made
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that arise during transit

Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving vans or similar vehicles preferred
- Knowledge of local roads, traffic laws, and safe driving practices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers, team members, and dispatch personnel
- Warehouse experience is a plus, providing familiarity with handling inventory and managing shipments
- Excellent time management skills to ensure punctual deliveries in a fast-paced environment
