About PDC
The Plumbing Distribution Company Ltd (PDC) is a successful, family-run B2B distribution business that has proudly served plumbing merchants since 2006.
We are built around gold-standard service, reliability, trust, and continuous improvement, and after 20 years of growth, we are entering an exciting new period of expansion.
We are looking for a reliable, experienced, and customer-focused Delivery Driver / Warehouse Assistant to join our team and play an important role in our continued success.
The Role
As a PDC driver, you will be much more than someone who simply delivers goods. You will be one of the faces of our business, representing PDC to customers every day.
You will complete pre-planned delivery routes across London, Essex, and surrounding areas, typically making approximately 10-15 deliveries per day.
Unlike many delivery roles, our drivers are given generous time allowances. We prioritize quality of service over speed, allowing you to take care when delivering products and, where required, assist customers with placing goods.
You will also support the warehouse team when you return before the end of your shift, with full training provided.
This is a long-term opportunity for someone who wants to develop their skills. We provide structured in-house training, certifications, and ongoing development, with opportunities to increase your earnings as you develop and take on additional skills and responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely deliver plumbing products to businesses, completing approximately 10-15 drops per day.
- Provide professional, friendly, and respectful customer service at every delivery.
- Load, transport, and unload products safely and securely.
- Assist customers with placing goods where required.
- Complete daily vehicle safety checks using company technology.
- Keep the company van clean, tidy, and roadworthy.
- Use navigation systems to ensure deliveries are completed efficiently and on time.
- Obtain customer signatures and photographic proof of delivery.
- Report accidents, incidents, vehicle issues, or delivery problems promptly.
- Use company mobile devices to manage tasks and provide real-time delivery updates.
- Assist with warehouse duties when required, with training provided.
- Communicate customer queries, order discrepancies, and other issues to the relevant departments.
- Work as part of the wider PDC team to maintain our high standards of service and safety.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
