Role Overview

We are looking for reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. Based in Telford, this role involves delivering customer orders across key locations in the UK. You will represent the company with professionalism, providing excellent customer service while ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load, check, and prepare delivery routes for daily runs.
  • Deliver orders promptly and accurately, offering assistance with unloading and putting away items when needed.
  • Obtain customer signatures using our digital Proof of Delivery (POD) system and return delivery notes in a timely manner.
  • Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any issues immediately.
  • Support warehouse operations when not on delivery, including picking, packing, labelling, and placing orders in correct dispatch areas.
  • Ensure van is kept clean, tidy, and roadworthy, adhering to 5S principles.

Performance Metrics

  • High delivery accuracy and customer satisfaction (monitored via feedback and complaints).
  • 100% completion of daily vehicle checks.
  • Timely return and accuracy of PODs.
  • Compliance with all company policies and health & safety procedures.
  • Efficient and eco-conscious driving (MPG performance, no idling, etc.).

Tools & Equipment

Skills & Attributes

  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • Flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic IT literacy (for POD and navigation apps).
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Previous experience driving vans in a multi-drop environment.
  • Experience working in a warehouse or logistics setting.
  • A full UK driving licence with a clean record (preferred).
  • C1 licence and Driver CPC qualification are desirable but not essential — training or support may be provided for the right candidate
  • Previous experience driving large vans (such as 3.5T or 5T vehicles) preferred
  • Excellent time management and customer service skills
