Location - Norwich North
Pay - £13.20 per hr
Hrs - 41.5 per week, 1 in 2 Saturdays

Exciting opportunity alert! We are thrilled to announce a fantastic job opening for a delivery driver/warehouse assistant at our bustling Trade Counter in Norwich North! If you are reliable, organised, and enjoy a varied, hands-on role involving driving, deliveries, and warehouse work, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

About the Role

As a Delivery Driver/Warehouse Assistant, you will support the efficient movement, storage, and delivery of products to customers and sites. This role is suited to a practical and dependable individual with a strong work ethic, good attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load, secure, and deliver products safely and efficiently to customers, sites, and other locations.
  • Complete delivery and collection duties in line with planned routes and schedules.
  • Carry out vehicle checks before and after deliveries, reporting any defects or maintenance issues promptly.
  • Drive company vehicles responsibly and in accordance with UK road traffic laws and company procedures.
  • Assist with loading and unloading goods, using appropriate manual handling techniques.
  • Check delivery paperwork, goods, and quantities before dispatch and on receipt.
  • Obtain delivery signatures and complete all relevant paperwork accurately.
  • Provide a professional and helpful service to customers during deliveries and collections.
  • Receive, check, label, and store incoming stock and materials in the warehouse.
  • Pick and prepare orders accurately for delivery or collection.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and report shortages, damaged goods, or discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Keep the warehouse, loading areas, and vehicles clean, safe, and organized.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties and other operational tasks as required.
  • Follow health and safety policies, manual handling guidance, and company procedures at all times.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a delivery driver, warehouse, logistics, distribution, or goods-in role is desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence with a safe and responsible driving record.
  • Good knowledge of UK roads and the ability to follow delivery routes and schedules.
  • Experience handling, loading, and unloading goods safely.
  • Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to complete delivery notes, stock records, and other paperwork accurately.
  • Physically fit and able to lift and move goods in line with manual handling guidance.
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible in a busy working environment.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider warehouse and operations team.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • MOST IMPORTANTLY a can-do attitude and a desire to deliver excellent service!
