Technical Project Manager / Scrum Master

- Demonstrate strong leadership to inspire, motivate, and guide team members toward achieving project goals.
- Possess a technical background in the software development lifecycle (SDLC), enabling you to solve challenges, influence decisions, and mentor teams.
- Have expertise in:
- Java, APIs, Microservices, and legacy modernization (banking domain).
- Productive collaboration with Software Architects, Technical Leads, and engineers.
- Guide teams in creating educated estimates, refining solution designs, and removing roadblocks for seamless delivery.
- Facilitate agile practices (daily planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and release planning).
- Support the Product Owner with backlog refinement and prioritisation.
- Proactively mitigate risks, track dependencies, and ensure on-time, high-quality software releases.
- Lead agile maturity assessments and assist in individual/team growth.
- Foster transparent communication, ensuring cross-team alignment (e.g., with Scrum teams, security, and infrastructure).

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Decision-Making
- Collaborate with architects and leads to propose and validate technical designs.
- Represent the team in cross-functional discussions, balancing business and technical objectives.

Agile and Delivery Coordination
- Lead agile ceremonies (Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives).
- Facilitate Release Planning and stakeholder alignment across regions.

Backlog & Roadmap Management
- Work closely with Product Owners (POs) and Business Analysts to refine backlog items.
- Identify feature dependencies and impediments, tracking progress to ensure timely resolution.
- Forecast deliverables using data-backed insights (velocity, trends).

Risk & Performance Monitoring
- Continuously assess project risks and propose mitigations.
- Generate standardised performance reports (velocity, completed stories, project status).
- Ensure release readiness for end-to-end delivery (integration, security, infrastructure).
Minimum Requirements
✔ 8 years of overall software industry experience, including:
- 5+ years in Technical Project Management or leading cross-functional/cross-regional teams. ✔ Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent field. ✔ Hands-on experience managing software development releases (development, testing, deployment). ✔ Working knowledge of Jira/Confluence and agile tracking metrics (e.g., backlog grooming, story splitting). ✔ Understanding of Agile principles, including:
- Lean, Continuous Integration/Testing, Cross-team dependencies.
- Scrum basics (sprints, retrospectives), Kanban workflows.

Desirable:
- Previous tenure as a Software Developer or Technical Lead.
- Banking-focused experience, particularly in Microservices or legacy system modernization.
