Delivery Lead

Anson McCade is partnering with a global technology and consulting organisation to hire a Delivery Lead into its Health and Public Service practice. You'll deliver complex technology solutions for UK public sector clients, including government, defence, security and public safety organisations.
The Role
You'll work across the delivery lifecycle, bringing together product owners, project managers, business analysts, SMEs and developers to design and deliver high-quality solutions. You'll manage relationships and communication with internal and external stakeholders, solve problems as they come up, and support and develop junior team members.
What You'll Bring
- 2β3+ years across the delivery lifecycle in project or programme management, design, development or QA, ideally on cloud or SaaS solutions
- Experience working with mixed delivery teams, and explaining solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Some experience leading a team or mentoring junior colleagues
- Practical experience of Agile and/or Waterfall delivery, and an understanding of when each fits
- Experience using AI and agentic tooling such as Copilot, Claude or AWS Q to support delivery
- Strong skills with delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio and Excel
- The ability to analyse data and use it to inform design and delivery decisions
- The ability to turn business needs into clear, actionable design documentation
- A strong track record of building collaborative client relationships
- Adaptability to new clients and technologies

- Functional and non-functional analysis and design experience
- Experience in highly regulated sectors such as health or the public sector, or a genuine interest in building a career delivering for UK Government
- Understanding of software architecture principles, integration patterns and secure system design
- Subject matter expertise in one or more tools or technologies
- DevOps tooling such as Git, Jenkins, Docker and Kubernetes
- Multi-cloud experience across AWS, Azure and/or GCP
- Experience in complex, multi-stakeholder delivery environments
