Delivery Lead

As Delivery Lead at Synectics Solutions, you'll have a leading role helping our teams build the right products, in the right way, and get them to customers sooner. Working alongside product, engineering, and platform colleagues, you'll bring structure without bureaucracy: keeping work flowing, forecasting with data rather than guesswork, and keeping stakeholders confident when priorities or dependencies change. You'll also help shape how we deliver in an AI-enabled software lifecycle, where faster engineering creates new challenges for teams to manage.

The Role

The Delivery Lead reports to the Head of Delivery and is part of a team of delivery managers. The Delivery Lead will work closely with product, engineering, platform, and delivery colleagues, driving teams to deliver customer and business outcomes with clarity and confidence. The role is responsible for end-to-end delivery processes at team level, including delivery planning, continuous flow measurement and improvement, risk/issue and dependency management, data-based delivery reporting and forecasting, delivery process automation, decision and impediment management, and continuous team health and efficiency improvement.

This is a hands-on delivery role for someone who can bring structure without bureaucracy, adapt delivery practices to the needs of each team, and keep stakeholders aligned when priorities, dependencies, or delivery conditions change. The successful candidate will, above all, be driven by a desire to deliver real business and customer value, and will combine strong communication with practical agile and project delivery experience, as well as a genuine interest in improving how technology teams work.

What You Will Do

  • Lead day-to-day delivery activity for one or more product or technology teams, helping work move from idea through to release in a clear, controlled, and timely way.
  • Understand and measure how work flows through the AI-enabled software development lifecycle (SDLC), helping teams to manage the new challenges that come from increased engineering throughput - for example, mitigating cognitive overload or managing accelerated decision-making to prevent impediments.
  • Support the Product team in ensuring team backlogs are healthy: all work is visible, appropriately prioritised, well defined, and supported by clear requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Facilitate planning, refinement, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and other delivery rhythms that help teams make progress and surface issues early.
  • Work with product, engineering, and platform colleagues to understand priorities, dependencies, technical constraints, risks, and customer commitments.
  • Drive teams and stakeholders to slice value and release early wherever possible, using a rapid experimentation approach to test value hypotheses and remove uncertainty up front.
  • Provide accurate, timely, and audience-appropriate delivery reporting for stakeholders, including progress, blockers, risks, dependencies, and changes in scope or priority.
  • Provide up-to-date, accurate delivery forecasting based on data and tooling.
  • Support forecasting and commitment management by helping teams understand capacity, sequencing, trade-offs, and delivery confidence.
  • Identify and remove impediments, bottlenecks, and points of ambiguity so teams can remain focused on delivering valuable outcomes.
  • Promote effective flow of work into production environments, working within change and release management processes where required.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring dependencies and commitments are understood and actively managed.
  • Champion transparency, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the teams you support.
  • Use delivery tools and metrics to improve visibility, support decision-making, and highlight opportunities to improve team performance and flow.
  • Contribute to the continued improvement of Synectics' delivery processes, governance, tooling, and ways of working.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
