Job Title: Engineering Delivery Lead (EDL)
Location: Leicester, UK
Work mode: Hybrid (2-3 days weekly from office)
Skills: Sitecore, Sitecore XM Cloud, Azure,.NET/C#, SQL Server, Okta, Agile/Scrum, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
Role Purpose
The Engineering Delivery Lead (EDL) will provide end-to-end technical and delivery leadership for the Qdos product team. The role will be responsible for driving technical excellence, ensuring quality delivery, guiding engineering resources, managing product backlog execution, and acting as the primary bridge between business stakeholders, product teams, and IT Operations. The individual will play a critical role in balancing business priorities, technical debt management, platform stability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to the Qdos product team.
- Drive best practices for application development, support, deployment, and maintenance.
- Manage technical debt, platform modernization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee Azure VM infrastructure and ensure platform reliability, scalability, and security.
- Review technical designs, code quality, and solution approaches.

Agile Delivery Management
- Act as Scrum Master for the product team.
- Facilitate sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog grooming, and release planning.
- Ensure timely delivery of committed sprint objectives.
- Monitor team velocity and drive continuous delivery improvements.
Quality Assurance Governance
- Own overall delivery quality and engineering standards.
- Establish and monitor quality controls across development and release processes.
- Ensure testing, review, and validation processes are consistently followed.
- Drive root cause analysis and preventive actions for recurring issues.
Product Business Engagement
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand priorities and requirements.
- Manage and prioritize product backlog aligned with business objectives.
- Influence business decisions through technical recommendations and solution options.
- Translate business needs into actionable delivery plans.
IT Operations Change Management
- Assess impacts of infrastructure, platform, and operational changes on the product landscape.
- Collaborate with IT Operations teams to ensure seamless implementation of changes.
- Proactively identify risks associated with operational changes and develop mitigation plans.
- Ensure business continuity during platform and infrastructure transitions.

Service Delivery Management
- Manage overall delivery performance against agreed SLAs and KPIs.
- Track delivery metrics, quality measures, risks, and dependencies.
- Present delivery status, risks, and improvement plans to senior stakeholders.
- Drive operational excellence and continuous service improvement.
Required Skills Experience
Technical Skills
- Good understanding of the Sitecore, Sitecore XM Cloud, Azure,.NET/C#, SQL Server, Okta, Agile/Scrum, release management, application support, and integration architecture
- Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud services and Azure Virtual Machines.
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, release management, and application lifecycle management.
- Strong understanding of application architecture, integrations, and enterprise systems.
Delivery Leadership Skills
- Proven experience leading cross-functional engineering teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience managing Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on delivery support.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
