Delivery Lead – Business Change
Bristol / Hybrid
£50,000 – £65,000 depending on experience
Permanent | Full-time
Witcher Associates is partnering with a growing specialist insurance business in Bristol to recruit an experienced Delivery Lead into its Change function.
This is a hands-on business change delivery role for someone with established experience managing multiple projects and workstreams from planning through to implementation.
We're particularly interested in candidates currently working as a Delivery Lead, Project Manager, Change Manager or Change Delivery Manager within insurance, financial services or another complex/regulated environment.
The role
Reporting to the Head of Change, you'll take ownership of significant items within the organisation's change portfolio and be responsible for keeping delivery moving across multiple concurrent projects.
The portfolio includes a mixture of technology, systems, operational change and external partner integration projects.
Responsibilities will include:
- Owning change initiatives from planning through to implementation
- Managing multiple projects and workstreams concurrently
- Creating and maintaining delivery plans, milestones and timelines
- Coordinating stakeholders across business, operational and technical functions
- Identifying and managing risks, issues, dependencies and blockers
- Driving actions and holding stakeholders accountable for agreed deliverables
- Working closely with Business Analysts and other members of the Change function
- Coordinating activity with external partners and third-party suppliers
- Running project meetings and providing clear progress reporting
- Supporting appropriate project governance
- Ensuring change is successfully implemented and embedded into the business

What we're looking for
To be considered, you'll need to demonstrate:
- Established experience delivering business change, transformation or operational improvement projects
- Experience personally owning projects from planning through to implementation
- Experience managing multiple projects/workstreams simultaneously
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including working with senior stakeholders
- Experience identifying and managing risks, issues and dependencies
- Experience coordinating internal teams and external suppliers/partners
- Strong planning, organisation and prioritisation skills
- The confidence to challenge, influence and keep delivery on track
- Experience working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change
Experience within insurance or wider financial services is highly desirable, although strong Delivery Leads from other regulated or complex environments will be considered.
This is a hands-on role
This point is important.
We're not looking for someone who has operated solely at programme/strategic level with large delivery teams underneath them.
You'll need to be comfortable being close to the detail and personally driving delivery – following up actions, solving problems, coordinating stakeholders, managing dependencies and making sure projects continue moving forward.

There are no direct reports attached to the position. The focus is project and change delivery rather than people management.
The environment
You'll be joining an established Change function within a business experiencing significant growth and evolution.
It's a collaborative environment where individuals are expected to contribute ideas, challenge existing ways of working and take ownership rather than waiting for direction.
You'll have exposure across different areas of the organisation and work closely with both internal stakeholders and external partners on a varied portfolio of change.
Location
The role is hybrid and connected to the Bristol office.
There is flexibility around office attendance, but we're particularly interested in candidates who can travel into Bristol regularly to collaborate with the Change team and wider business.
