Delivery Lead – Module Assembly (Fixed Term Contract Maternity Cover)

Location: Derby, Manchester or Warrington (Hybrid Working Available)

Travel to Factory 2050 once a week is also required.

We’re looking for a Delivery Lead to help shape the future of nuclear energy.

At Rolls-Royce SMR, we're developing a new generation of nuclear power technology that will play a key role in delivering secure, affordable, low-carbon energy. As our Modularisation Development Programme (MDP) continues to grow, we need you to lead the delivery of module assembly demonstrators and experiments that will help validate the way we design, manufacture and assemble our products.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a pioneering programme where your work will directly influence future manufacturing strategies and industrial capability across Rolls-Royce SMR.

The Challenge

We need you to lead the delivery of module assembly demonstrators and experimental programmes that support the development of our modularisation approach. Working across engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality, facilities and supply chain teams, you'll help ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required technical standards.

This role combines project leadership, technical delivery and people leadership, providing a unique opportunity to influence how our future products are manufactured and assembled.

What You'll Be Doing

We Need You To

  • Lead a small team of engineers delivering modularisation demonstrators and experimental projects.
  • Drive the delivery of complex research, development and capability acquisition activities.
  • Ensure robust Design for Manufacture principles are applied throughout project delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality, facility and supplier teams to achieve programme objectives.
  • Manage functionally allocated resources and external delivery partners to achieve cost, schedule and quality targets.
  • Communicate programme goals, priorities and expectations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the growth, development and performance of your team.
  • Champion a strong safety culture and promote continuous improvement across all activities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
