Delivery Lead

Location

UK or Poland (residents only – relocation and sponsorship not provided)


Role Purpose

The Delivery Lead assumes critical ownership for the health, flow, and continuous improvement of a multi-disciplinary product and project delivery team. Responsible for motivating teams, aligning stakeholders, and optimising delivery processes, this role ensures sustained value delivery while maintaining efficiency, collaboration, and high performance. From product inception to implementation, the Lead orchestrates seamless execution, fostering a culture of cooperation, innovation, and sustainable productivity to deliver E&E products and projects effectively.


Main Accountabilities

Facilitating Flow & Value & Problem Solving

  • Initiate, develop, and maintain effective global stakeholder relationships with dispersed owners and leadership.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve blockers across teams and dependencies.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the delivery team.
  • Optimize end-to-end delivery flow to minimize lead time.
  • Facilitate key Agile ceremonies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) for alignment and clarity.
  • Manage cross-team dependencies, ensuring "upstream" and "downstream" partners deliver requirements on time.

Functional Expertise

  • Own responsibility for delivering assigned digital products/projects in either servant-leadership or traditional delivery capacities.
  • Coach and mentor (cross-functionally) on best-in-class Agile/Lean methodologies while accommodating traditional project management techniques.
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams to translate technical details for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support initiatives from planning to evaluation, tailoring approaches for small-to-large, low-to-high-risk projects.

Service Improvement

  • Establish a scaling delivery ethos across teams.
  • Oversee real-time communication of plans, risk/issue logs, and sprint backlogs.

Relationship & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships globally.
  • Assemble and nurture high-performing teams, ensuring focus on mission-critical priorities.
  • Replace passive communications (e.g., Monday/Friday reports) with live transparency through real-time dashboards.
  • Translate team metrics (e.g., cycle time, bottlenecks, forecasts) to stakeholders.

Commercial & Financial Management

  • Integrate third-party partners into Agile workflows, supporting alignment and collaboration.

Role-Specific Skills

Essential:

  • Proven digital/technical delivery leadership experience.
  • Competence managing complex products/projects across Agile, Lean, and Waterfall frameworks.
  • Expertise in requirements analysis, specification refinement, planning, and evaluation.
  • Servant-leadership experience, focusing on team self-organization.
  • Strong persuasive communication, negotiation, and behavioral influence.
  • Ability to manage diverse teams while navigating equality/diversity within project scope.
  • Team coordination under changing specifications/plans.

Desirable:

  • Experience managing remote/global teams.
  • Adaptability to agile cross-timezone collaboration.
  • Knowledge in infrastructure/product rollouts.

Role-Specific Knowledge & Experience

Minimum/Essential

  • Agile fluency with restricted roles (sponsors, stakeholders) and method introduction.
  • Cross-functional partnering with PMO, senior management, vendors.
  • Fundamental Agile understanding (e.g., iterative development, MVPs).
  • Project planning tools (e.g., Miro, Jira, Asana, Trello, Confluence).
  • Technical/non-technical communication (email, meetings, reports).
  • Kanban metrics and data-driven performance improvements.
  • Conflict resolution and high-performance coaching experience.
