Role Title – Delivery Managers (Agile)
Contract: IR35 role (Via umbrella company)
Location: Manchester, UK
Office requirements: Hybrid – 2-3 days in the office

Delivery Manager
Purpose
To lead the day-to-day delivery of a durable team within a Value Stream, ensuring predictable flow, clear priorities, and sustainable, high-performing ways of working. The Delivery Manager enables their product team to deliver brilliant outcomes by optimising flow, managing dependencies, uplifting delivery capability, and creating the conditions for healthy, empowered teams.
They are accountable for facilitating delivery cadences, interpreting delivery and flow metrics, coordinating across product, engineering, data and service peers, and ensuring that delivery is both outcome-focused and aligned to Value Stream priorities.
As an active member of the Delivery Practice, the Delivery Manager contributes to the development and adoption of shared standards, patterns and delivery maturity across DTaD.

Leading team-level delivery and flow Ensuring the team delivers value predictably by managing flow, balancing capacity, reducing blockers and maintaining clarity of scope.

Supporting the Product Manager To shape and maintain a well-structured backlog aligned to Value Stream missions.

Facilitating all core delivery ceremonies Enabling clear progress, sequencing and prioritisation.

Embedding effective ways of working Establishing team-level agile, lean and flow practices consistent with DTaD standards and the Delivery Practice.

Managing risk, dependencies and readiness Surfacing and managing risks, impediments and inter-team dependencies, contributing to Value Stream-wide visibility.

- Identify and resolve impediments within their control and escalate systemic constraints to the Principal Delivery Manager.
- Use delivery and flow metrics to guide improvements in how the team works.
- Challenge priorities, readiness and scope where clarity or feasibility is lacking.
- Represent the team’s delivery position into the Value Stream’s rhythms.
- Contribute to the Delivery Practice and adopt common standards, tools and processes.
Capabilities
- Delivery and agile expertise Strong grounding in agile, product delivery, and lean flow practices. Ability to run effective delivery ceremonies and maintain consistent team rhythms. Experience in managing team-level risks, dependencies and blockers.

Responsible for shaping and maintaining team-level delivery practices, flow and operational rhythm. Ensures delivery is predictable, transparent and aligned to Value Stream priorities. Accountable for managing risks, dependencies, readiness and operational impacts at the team level.
Impact
Influences team behaviours, ways of working and delivery maturity. Helps shape backlog clarity, feasibility and prioritisation through collaboration with Product et al. Provides delivery insight that shapes Value Stream decision-making and practice-wide improvements. Contributes to uplifting delivery standards across DTaD through participation in the Delivery Practice.
Co-operation
Collaborates closely with Product, Design, Engineering, Architecture, Data and Service roles to ensure coordinated delivery. Works with other Delivery Managers to share learning and improve cross-team flow. Engages actively in the Delivery Practice to support consistency, capability development and performance uplift. Promotes inclusive, open and collaborative behaviours within the team and across the Value Stream.
