Join a business right at the beginning of their AI journey!!
"We are building a new AI capability from the ground up as part of a wider transformation of the business and this is an opportunity to join right at the beginning of our journey: shaping the strategy, foundations, delivery approach and culture rather than inheriting somebody else's playbook."
The Role Summary:
As the Delivery Manager for this team, you will bring structure, momentum and transparency to a new portfolio of AI initiatives. Working at the centre of the new team, you will connect business priorities with product, design, architecture, engineering, data, testing, security and operational change.
AI delivery is rarely linear: discovery, experimentation, evaluation and productionisation often overlap. You will introduce the right level of discipline without slowing learning down. Your focus will be on outcomes, dependencies, decisions, risks and adoption, ensuring teams are solving worthwhile problems and that working solutions land safely in the business.
What you will be expected to do (Responsibilities):
- Set up and run the end-to-end delivery approach for the first wave of AI products and automation initiatives.
- Turn strategic priorities into clear delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, ownership and measurable outcomes.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across product, design, AI, engineering, data, architecture, QA, security, legal and operations.
- Create a disciplined route from problem discovery and proof of value through production, rollout and benefits realisation.
- Manage delivery risks specific to AI, including uncertain model performance, data readiness, evaluation, safety, cost and third-party dependencies.
- Establish effective governance, reporting and decision forums while protecting the team's ability to move quickly.
- Remove blockers, manage cross-programme dependencies and ensure decisions are made at the right level.
- Plan pilots, phased rollouts, operational readiness, training, communications and business adoption.
- Track whether delivered solutions are being used and whether they are producing the intended customer, colleague or commercial value.
- Help shape delivery capability, ways of working and resourcing as the AI team grows.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
