Technical Delivery Manager
£60,000 – £70,000 + Discretionary Bonus
York – Hybrid (2–3 days in the office)

The Technical Delivery Manager is a brand-new role at the heart of a small, close-knit development team. You'll own planning, scoping and delivery, help set the technical direction, and be the link between the developers, sales, infrastructure and clients. The business wants fresh eyes, new ideas and a personality to match, so this is a real chance to make the role your own.

What will you be doing?
- Running the weekly planning meeting: reviewing targets, allocating support tickets and setting priorities
- Scoping new work and turning client needs into clear requirements
- Introducing light-touch, sprint-style planning and tracking who's doing what, including testing
- Owning the development roadmap and deciding what goes into each release
- Evaluating new technologies and agreeing with the team what to adopt and how to integrate it
- Overseeing the development plan, including migration away from legacy VB and the replacement of end-of-life third-party components
- Triaging support calls and mentoring a mixed-experience team
- Working with clients, and being client facing

What are we looking for?
- Experience managing software delivery or guiding a development team: scoping, planning and delivery
- A technical background, ideally in software development, so you can make sound technical calls and step in when needed
- Practical knowledge of agile or sprint-based ways of working
- Confidence working with clients and presenting to groups
- A collaborative leadership style, full of ideas without being domineering
- Visual Basic, legacy migration or regulated-industry experience would be a bonus
Benefits Package
- £60,000 – £70,000 base salary
- Discretionary annual bonus
- 20 days holiday, rising to 25 with service, plus Bank Holidays
