About the Role
FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Delivery Manager to work with our global systems integrator client, supporting a number of high-profile discovery initiatives across a large-scale business transformation programme. You will play a key role in leading the successful delivery of multiple concurrent discovery projects, ensuring multidisciplinary teams remain aligned, engaged, and focused on delivering high-quality outcomes.
This is initially a 4-month assignment starting as soon as possible, with a predominantly remote, UK-based working arrangement and occasional travel to client sites in Bristol, Blackpool, or a client office location for workshops, stakeholder engagement activities, and project kick-off sessions.
We are seeking a Delivery Manager to oversee the delivery of two concurrent discovery projects, allocating time across both workstreams to ensure successful outcomes. You will work closely with User Researchers, Service Designers, Content Designers, Business Analysts, Product stakeholders, and technical teams to plan, coordinate, and manage delivery activities throughout the discovery lifecycle.
The role is delivery-focused, ensuring projects are effectively governed, risks and dependencies are actively managed, and stakeholders remain informed and engaged. You will be responsible for facilitating collaboration across multidisciplinary teams while maintaining momentum, managing priorities, and ensuring delivery commitments are achieved.
You will act as the primary point of coordination between project teams and client stakeholders, supporting effective decision-making and helping establish a clear path from discovery into future delivery phases.
Responsibilities
- Managing the delivery of multiple concurrent discovery projects
- Planning and coordinating delivery activities across multidisciplinary teams
- Establishing and maintaining project plans, delivery schedules, and reporting mechanisms
- Facilitating Agile ceremonies, workshops, and stakeholder meetings
- Managing risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle
- Monitoring project progress and ensuring delivery remains aligned with agreed objectives and timelines
- Supporting teams in removing blockers and resolving delivery challenges
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with client stakeholders and delivery partners
- Providing regular status reporting, updates, and delivery insights to programme stakeholders
- Ensuring effective collaboration between User-Centred Design, business, and technical teams
- Supporting governance processes and ensuring key deliverables are completed to a high standard

About You
- Proven experience working as a Delivery Manager within digital, technology, or business transformation programmes
- Strong experience managing discovery-phase projects within Agile environments
- Demonstrable experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating cross-functional delivery activities
- Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills
- Experience managing risks, issues, dependencies, and project governance activities
- Strong facilitation skills, including workshops, planning sessions, and stakeholder meetings
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams simultaneously
- Experience producing high-quality delivery reporting and progress updates
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Self-directed and delivery-focused, able to work independently in fast-paced environments

Nice to Have
- Experience managing end-client relationships within consulting or systems integration environments
- Experience supporting large-scale business transformation programmes
- Familiarity with government or public sector delivery approaches
- Experience working with User-Centred Design (UCD) teams
- Knowledge of discovery, service design, and user research practices
- Experience supporting HR, workforce, people-related, or operational service transformation initiatives
- Agile certifications such as Scrum Master, AgilePM, SAFe, or equivalent
