Data Migration Delivery Manager
Location: Kingston Upon Thames (2 to 3 days per week, can be flexible)
Length: 12 months
Rate: £72 per hour
Job Purpose
As part of our large-scale transformation and carve-out from Unilever, we are implementing SAP S/4HANA and harmonising business processes and data across a complex global and local application landscape. We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Delivery Manager - E2E Tracking & Governance to lead end-to-end tracking, coordination and governance of data migration across all in-scope applications.
In this pivotal role, you will establish a consolidated view of migration and cleansing progress across approximately 70-100 applications, working across IT, Global Process Owner teams, local deployment teams and our SI partner. You will ensure that application and data object risks, cross-platform dependencies and integration challenges are identified early, clearly reported and actively managed.
Your ability to bring structure to complexity, influence diverse stakeholders and provide concise, decision-focused reporting to the Data SteerCo will be essential to maintaining delivery confidence across the OPUS landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery Leadership & E2E Coordination
- Lead end-to-end tracking and coordination of data migration activities across global and local applications.
- Establish an integrated view of migration scope, milestones, readiness, dependencies and delivery status across approximately 70-100 applications.
- Drive alignment between global data teams, IT application teams, GPO teams, regional deployment teams and the SI partner.
- Ensure clear ownership, actions and delivery dates are maintained for critical migration activities.

Governance, Reporting & SteerCo Support
- Own consolidated migration and data cleansing reporting for Data SteerCo and programme leadership.
- Develop clear, decision-oriented dashboards covering progress, risks, issues, dependencies and mitigation actions.
- Ensure reporting is supported by consistent definitions, evidence and agreed status criteria.
- Highlight applications and data objects at risk and drive timely escalation where leadership intervention is required.
Risk, Dependency & Integration Management
- Identify cross-application migration dependencies and integration risks across the OPUS landscape.
- Coordinate resolution of issues that span SAP S/4HANA, global applications, local applications and downstream platforms.
- Maintain a consolidated risk, issue and dependency view and drive mitigation actions to closure.
- Challenge incomplete plans or unclear ownership and facilitate practical recovery actions.
Stakeholder Management & Continuous Improvement
- Facilitate governance forums, working sessions and issue-resolution meetings across business, IT and partner teams.
- Promote transparent communication, disciplined follow-up and proactive decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to simplify reporting, improve tracking quality and strengthen migration governance.
- Provide leadership and coaching to the Data Migration Delivery Analyst supporting the workstream.
What You Need To Succeed
Experience & Expertise
- 5-8 years of experience in project delivery, programme governance or data migration within large-scale, multi-country transformation programmes.
- Proven experience coordinating complex delivery across multiple applications, workstreams and stakeholder groups.
- Strong track record of executive reporting, risk management and delivery governance.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA transformation, carve-out or separation programmes is highly desirable.

Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of data migration lifecycle, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, testing and cutover activities.
- Experience creating integrated plans, governance dashboards, RAID logs and executive reporting packs.
- Working knowledge of application integration and cross-system data dependencies.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint; experience with planning or reporting tools is an advantage.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a structured and detail-oriented approach.

- Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural and geographically distributed environment.
Other Requirements
- Fluent in English, written and verbal.
- Willingness to travel internationally when required to support programme and deployment activities.
