Job Title - Delivery Manager – Defense & National Security Accounts

Location - United Kingdom (London/Derby/Bristol/Stevenage)

Experience

Several years of industry experience, with significant experience delivering and managing large-scale Defense, Aerospace, National Security, or Government IT programs.

Security Requirement

Mandatory: Active UK Security Clearance (SC) or eligibility to obtain and maintain SC clearance.

Role Overview

Infosys Engineering Services is seeking a highly experienced Delivery Manager to lead and oversee strategic Defense and National Security engagements across the UK market.

The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end program ownership, engineering team management, customer relationship management, delivery governance, commercial performance, and growth of Infosys' Defense portfolio. This role requires extensive experience managing complex Engineering and Digital services programs for Aerospace & Defense organizations, prime contractors, and government agencies while ensuring adherence to security, compliance, and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery & Program Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of UK Defense engineering programs and management of Engineering teams ensuring achievement of scope, schedule, quality, cost and customer commitments.
  • Lead a portfolio of UK Defense and National Security programs with full accountability for delivery, operations, financial performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage multi-million-pound engagements involving application services, digital transformation, engineering services, cloud, cybersecurity, data, AI, and managed services.
  • Establish and execute program governance frameworks, delivery plans, risk mitigation strategies, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Ensure successful delivery of programs within agreed scope, schedule, quality, security, and budget parameters.

Client Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary executive interface between Infosys and Defense customers.
  • Build trusted relationships with client leadership teams, program sponsors, procurement teams, and operational stakeholders.
  • Drive customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for account expansion and strategic growth.

Portfolio & Governance Management

  • Oversee program reviews, steering committees, executive dashboards, and risk management forums.
  • Ensure compliance with Defense-specific operational, contractual, regulatory, and security requirements.
  • Manage escalations and resolution of complex delivery issues.

Business Growth & Account Management

  • Support Defense account growth strategies and revenue expansion initiatives.
  • Develop a sustainable UK-based Defense engineering capability, support proposals and solution development, identify growth opportunities and strengthen organizational credibility within the UK Defense market.
  • Collaborate with sales, consulting, and solution teams for new opportunities, RFP responses, renewals, and contract extensions.
  • Drive profitability, resource optimization, forecasting, and margin improvement initiatives.

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead geographically distributed delivery teams across the UK, Europe, and Global Delivery Centers.
  • Build, manage and mentor multidisciplinary teams covering design, manufacturing engineering, materials engineering, lifing, systems engineering, digital engineering, and application support.
  • Mentor engineering/delivery leads, program managers, project managers, architects.
  • Build a high-performance culture focused on quality, accountability, innovation, and client success.

Security & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to UK Defense security standards, security classification and export control regulations, information assurance requirements, and customer policies.
  • Work closely with client security teams and internal compliance functions.
  • Manage delivery within secure environments and controlled programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 10+ years in program or delivery management roles.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large Defense, Aerospace, Government, or National Security programs.
