Smartedge’s Client is looking for an individual to help with their Delivery Manager - Finance Transformation @ Manchester, UK/ Hybrid Working

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager – Finance Transformation to lead enterprise finance technology initiatives with a focus on e-Invoicing, Accounts Payable (AP) automation, ERP integration, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex finance transformation projects, managing cross-functional stakeholders, and ensuring successful implementation of finance systems across global environments.

Day to Day Job Duties:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of finance transformation projects, including e-Invoicing, AP automation, ERP, and tax compliance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business, finance, procurement, and technology teams to define project scope, requirements, and delivery plans.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, and vendor deliverables.
  • Coordinate ERP and finance system integrations with procurement, document management, and archiving platforms.
  • Drive project governance, testing, cutover planning, deployment, and change management activities.
  • Ensure compliance with country-specific and European e-Invoicing and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage third-party vendors, implementation partners, and system integrators to ensure successful project execution.
  • Facilitate stakeholder communication, status reporting, and executive governance meetings.
  • Support Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies while ensuring timely and quality project delivery.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvement across finance operations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience managing enterprise technology or finance transformation projects.
  • 5+ years of experience delivering e-Invoicing, Accounts Payable (AP) automation, ERP, or financial systems implementations.
  • 4+ years of experience managing system integrations involving ERP, finance, procurement, or document management platforms.
  • 3+ years of experience leading project governance, risk management, testing, cutover, and change management activities.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience delivering multi-country or European regulatory compliance projects.
  • Strong understanding of Accounts Payable workflows, invoice processing, and electronic invoicing standards (e.g., PEPPOL, UBL, XML).
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or other enterprise ERP platforms.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, or SAFe certification.
  • Experience working with global delivery teams and third-party vendors.
  • Strong stakeholder management, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
