Role Summary
Genpact is seeking an experienced Onsite Lead Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of complex Microsoft Dynamics 365 transformation programs for enterprise clients in the UK and Europe.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on and leadership experience across Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Customer Engagement, along with a strong understanding of the broader Microsoft Dynamics and Microsoft Cloud ecosystem including Power Platform, Dataverse, Azure Integration Services, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and related enterprise applications.
This is a senior client-facing role requiring strong solution architecture capability, executive stakeholder management, delivery governance, and experience working with distributed onsite-offshore teams. The individual will act as the overall solution authority, ensuring that the proposed and delivered solution is scalable, integrated, secure, supportable, and aligned to business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture Leadership
- Lead end-to-end solution architecture for complex Microsoft Dynamics 365 transformation programs.
- Own the overall solution design across D365 Finance, Supply Chain Management, Customer Engagement, integrations, data, reporting, security, and surrounding enterprise systems.
- Define the target-state architecture aligned to client business objectives, operating model, technology strategy, and Microsoft best practices.
- Provide architecture leadership across discovery, design, build, testing, deployment, transition, and hypercare phases.
- Drive solution decisions and ensure design consistency across multiple business and technology workstreams.
- Establish architecture principles, design standards, guardrails, and governance mechanisms for the program.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure, and aligned to Microsoft One Version and evergreen upgrade strategy.
- Promote standard D365 capabilities and reduce unnecessary customizations.
D365 Finance, SCM & CE Expertise
- The candidate should have strong working knowledge and hands-on implementation experience across key Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications, including:
- Dynamics 365 Finance
- Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management
- Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement
Microsoft Dynamics Ecosystem Knowledge
- The role requires strong understanding of the broader Microsoft ecosystem and how different components work together in enterprise transformation programs.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary onsite solution architecture lead and trusted advisor to client stakeholders.
- Engage with C-level executives, business process owners, enterprise architects, IT leaders, and transformation sponsors.
- Lead design workshops, solution walkthroughs, architecture reviews, fit-gap discussions, and executive design forums.
- Translate business goals and process requirements into practical, scalable D365 solutions.
- Influence key solution decisions by balancing business value, product capabilities, delivery effort, risk, and long-term maintainability.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and provide clear communication on solution options, assumptions, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs.
- Support program leadership in steering committee updates, executive reporting, and major decision forums.

Delivery Governance & Quality Assurance
- Establish and run solution governance forums across workstreams.
- Review and approve key solution deliverables including:
- Solution blueprint
- High-level design
- Functional design documents
- Integration design documents
- Data migration strategy
- Security design
- Reporting strategy
- Testing approach
- Cutover and deployment solution inputs
- Ensure alignment with Microsoft Success by Design principles and Genpact delivery standards.
- Identify solution risks early and drive mitigation plans with client and delivery teams.
- Ensure traceability between business requirements, solution design, build, testing, and deployment.
- Drive design quality and reduce rework across project phases.
Integration, Data & Technical Oversight
- Provide architecture oversight for integrations between D365 and external enterprise systems.
- Work closely with technical architects to define integration patterns, APIs, middleware strategy, and data exchange mechanisms.
- Guide data migration strategy including data cleansing, mapping, validation, reconciliation, and cutover planning.
- Provide oversight on reporting and analytics design using Power BI, Data Lake, Dataverse, and Microsoft Fabric where applicable.
- Ensure non-functional requirements such as performance, security, scalability, auditability, and maintainability are considered in solution design.
- Review customization and extension approaches to ensure alignment with Microsoft recommended practices.
Onsite-Offshore Delivery Leadership
- Lead architecture collaboration between onsite client-facing teams and offshore delivery teams.
- Provide clear solution direction to functional consultants, technical teams, integration teams, test teams, and data migration teams.
- Ensure offshore teams have the required business context, design clarity, and acceptance criteria to execute effectively.
- Drive regular design reviews, knowledge transfer sessions, and issue resolution forums.
- Mentor solution architects, functional leads, senior consultants, and technical leads across delivery locations.
- Build an effective working model across UK onsite teams, India offshore teams, client stakeholders, and third-party vendors.
Program & Practice Contribution
- Support project mobilization, planning, estimations, solution staffing, and delivery approach definition.
- Contribute to proposals, RFP responses, solution presentations, and client workshops.
- Support account growth by identifying opportunities for process improvement, automation, platform expansion, and additional Microsoft capability adoption.
- Contribute to reusable Genpact assets, accelerators, templates, and industry solution frameworks.
- Provide thought leadership on D365 transformation, enterprise architecture, and Microsoft ecosystem adoption.
- Support capability building and mentoring within Genpact’s Microsoft Business Applications Practice.

Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or related discipline.
- MBA or master’s degree preferred.
Professional Experience
- 15+ years of ERP consulting, enterprise solution design, and transformation delivery experience.
- 8+ years of hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation experience.
- Proven experience as a Lead Solution Architect or Enterprise Solution Architect on large-scale D365 programs.
- Strong experience designing and delivering complex D365 Finance and Operations solutions.
- Good hands-on working knowledge across D365 Finance, SCM, and CE applications.
- Experience delivering multi-country, multi-legal entity, multi-currency, and integrated enterprise solutions.
- Strong experience working in onsite-offshore global delivery models.
- Experience managing solution delivery across multiple vendors, business units, and geographies.
- Proven ability to engage with senior client stakeholders and executive leadership teams.
Required Skills
- Deep understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
- Strong knowledge of D365 Finance, SCM, and CE business processes.
- Good knowledge of the overall Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem.
- Strong solution architecture and design governance capability.
- Ability to lead business workshops and translate requirements into solution design.
- Experience with integrations, data migration, security, reporting, and environment strategy.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft implementation lifecycle, Success by Design, and delivery governance.
- Ability to manage complexity across business processes, applications, integrations, and teams.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively with onsite, offshore, nearshore, client, and third-party teams.
Preferred Certifications
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Solution Architect certification
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals / Azure Solutions Architect
- Agile / SAFe certification preferred
