We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of complex, high-impact digital initiatives across multiple web platforms within a university environment.

Working within Portfolio Delivery the role will operate at the heart of multidisciplinary teams, bringing together product, technical and business stakeholders to ensure delivery is structured, transparent and outcome focused.

This position requires strong career exposure to working with web platform development, liaison and directing marketing and technical teams and the ability to take ownership of complex delivery challenges. Along with the ability to bring structure, pace and focus to projects and manage ambiguity, evolving priorities and competing demands without losing control of delivery. Understanding how to balance delivery rigour with pragmatic decision-making and being equally comfortable working with senior stakeholders and technical teams is also crucial for this post.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Working with Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban), but more importantly you will know how to adapt ways of working to suit the context, rather than applying them rigidly.
  • Build credibility quickly with senior colleagues, academics and IT professionals.
  • Manage relationships with third-party suppliers and hold them to account for delivery.
  • Maintain momentum and drive delivery to time, cost and quality.
  • Identify and manage risks and dependencies proactively.
  • Ensure that delivery activity is aligned to wider organisational goals.
  • Drive progress and momentum across complex delivery environments.
  • Establish clarity where ambiguity exists and shape delivery approaches accordingly.
  • Ensure that delivery is aligned to strategic objectives and delivers measurable value.
  • Managing/leading Scrum activities and holding agile ceremonies.
  • Monitor and manage project delivery success, facilitating retrospectives, and interpreting outcomes to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Evaluate projects, and releases to ensure relevancy, benefits realisation, and compliance.
  • Identifying and actively managing risks, issues, and blockers across the project/product
  • Drive project governance processes, including project selection, prioritisation, and resource allocation, while balancing risk and benefit.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for projects, providing regular updates and reports to senior delivery managers and stakeholders, as appropriate.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
