The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference to the lives of our residents, staff, and communities across Wales.
As a Delivery Officer
You will help introduce and improve technology products, systems, and ways of working across the organisation. Working within the Technology and Data team, you will coordinate activities from planning and testing through to implementation, user adoption, and ongoing support. You will work with staff, suppliers, and technical teams to ensure changes are practical, well managed, and successfully adopted.
What you will be doing?
- Coordinate the delivery of new products and changes to existing products, tracking activities, identifying issues, and helping work progress to agreed outcomes.
- Support planning, maintain clear information about progress, and ensure actions are completed or escalated appropriately.
- Maintain testing, delivery, and support documentation, ensuring activities are completed in line with agreed governance, compliance, and quality standards.
- Organise and carry out technical and user acceptance testing, making sure problems are identified and addressed before changes are introduced.
- Support service readiness, implementation, and handover into operational use, including preparing guidance, delivering training, and coaching users.
- Provide second and third-line support for agreed products and services.
- Investigate issues, work with suppliers and other Technology and Data staff to resolve problems, and maintain clear records and documentation.
- Help develop delivery capability across the team through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing and contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Who we are looking for?
We are looking for someone with experience of supporting the delivery, implementation, or ongoing operation of technology products, systems, or business processes. You will be organised, able to manage several activities at once, and confident taking ownership of tasks through to completion or an appropriate handover.
- Have a structured approach to testing and problem-solving, with the ability to gather information, identify issues, and involve others when needed.
- Understand the importance of good planning, clear documentation, and effective support when introducing change.
- Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical staff, build positive working relationships, and explain information in a practical and accessible way.
- Experience of working with suppliers, supporting users, or delivering training would be helpful.
The role can be based at any of our offices in the South (Cardiff), North (Ewloe), or West (Newcastle Emlyn) regions. We offer flexibility in choosing the most suitable base location, while still ensuring strong links with the wider Technology & Data team. Regular travel between offices may be required at times, but your main working location can be aligned to the area that works best for you.
