What Is the Opportunity?
Here's What You'll Be Doing
We are seeking a highly analytical and collaborative Delivery Operations Lead to join our Shared Services department. In this critical role, you will act as a process improvement champion, using a strong systems-thinking approach to analyse how we deliver our services. Your mission is to visualise and optimise flow, identify constraints, and find opportunities to enhance productivity minimising non-value-add activities—all so our products reach the market sooner.
What sets this role apart is that you aren’t just a traditional lead; you are a "quantitative super-user". You will dive deep into the metrics, administering tools and automating workflows to ensure that data is the source of truth for leadership. Using a blend of Lean and Agile principles, you’ll be a key contributor to change, using data to highlight constraints and implementing approved optimisations across the department.
As One Of Our Delivery Operations Leads, You'll
- Analyse end-to-end business processes to identify opportunities for optimisation.
- Apply continuous improvement methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to identify constraints and support the implementation of solutions.
- Develop and maintain flow of work maps to clearly communicate how work flows and highlight blockers.
- Measure and analyse flow metrics, such as throughput, cycle time, and flow efficiency, to provide recommendations that inform decision-making.
- Conduct deep root cause analysis on workflow impediments to feed insights and potential solutions back to leadership.
- Leverage and administer a suite of tools, including Jira, Looker, Flow, and Miro, to support your analysis and automate workflows.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
