Delivery Partner Manager (Supply Chain Manager)
Salary: £45,000
Contract: Permanent
Base: Remote
Travel required across Berkshire, Oxfordshire and North & East Yorkshire
The Role
We are looking for a Delivery Partner Manager (Supply Chain Manager) to manage a network of delivery partners, ensuring consistently high standards of service, strong contractual performance and continuous improvement.
This is a strategic and operational role where you’ll build strong partner relationships, manage performance, identify opportunities for improvement and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver excellent participant outcomes.
You’ll take responsibility for the overall operational performance of a network of Delivery Partners across your designated regions. You will work closely with partners to monitor contractual and financial performance, address underperformance, drive continuous improvement and share best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a network of Delivery Partners to ensure high-quality participant services and achievement of contractual performance standards.
- Monitoring contractual, financial and operational performance and taking timely action where required.
- Conducting regular performance reviews and managing the review cycle according to risk and performance.
- Supporting Delivery Partners through formal performance management processes where required.
- Developing and implementing performance improvement plans to address underperformance and build partner capability.
- Identifying trends, risks and opportunities and sharing best practice across the delivery network.
- Working collaboratively with Continuous Improvement, Performance Excellence, Business Intelligence, Audit & Risk, Employer Services and wider internal teams.
- Representing the organisation and its Delivery Partner network with external stakeholders and commissioners.
- Maintaining accurate and auditable records of contract management activity and ensuring governance requirements are met.
- Reviewing forecasts, targets and available resources to ensure expectations remain accurate and achievable.
- Ensuring Delivery Partners meet contractual requirements and minimum service standards.
- Identifying priority areas for quality and continuous improvement.
- Conducting observations and site visits to monitor the quality of provision and participant services.
- Managing partner compliance risks in collaboration with Compliance and Audit teams.
- Promoting a solutions-focused approach and sharing effective practice across the network.

Skills and Experience

- Significant experience working within the employment and/or skills sector.
- A strong background in operational or supply chain management.
- Experience managing performance against contractual targets and service standards.
- A proven track record of establishing and maintaining productive relationships with employers, partners, commissioners and stakeholders.
- Experience applying performance management processes, including addressing and managing underperformance.
- A proven ability to meet and exceed targets.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues quickly and develop practical solutions.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong strategic relationship-building and influencing skills.
- Good knowledge of local and regional labour markets.
- Experience managing government and operational contracts would be advantageous.
- Good financial awareness and commercial understanding.
- Strong administration and IT skills, including good experience using Microsoft Office.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- A commitment to respecting, valuing and developing people.
