The Delivery Portfolio Manager leads end-to-end Technology delivery and transformation of the Mobile and Multiplay (broadband and TV) domain - owning the strategy, roadmap, backlog and value outcomes that keep products, platforms and programmes aligned to business priorities and OKRs.
You'll lead the team driving consistency across delivery of the Core Platforms behind iD Mobile, Currys Mobile and Multiplay, partnering with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Operations, Security and Commercial teams to set clear accountabilities and tech priorities for colleagues, customers and shareholders.
With line management responsibility, you'll coach Lead, Senior and Delivery Managers and wider portfolio teams - building high-performing teams and planning resource allocation. In brief, you'll create the conditions for predictable delivery in a complex matrix environment - championing DevOps, CI/CD, SRE and cloud-native delivery.
As a senior technology leader and trusted advisor, you'll also facilitate domain-level prioritisation, shape investment and operating-model decisions, and balance customer value, regulatory obligations, resilience, cost and delivery risk across run and change.

What you'll be doing:
- Facilitate portfolio prioritisation, planning and delivery, resolving conflicts and escalations
- Act as the senior Tech representative across governance forums, engaging stakeholders to ensure alignment
- Own the domain delivery strategy and roadmap, translating business strategy into prioritised tech outcomes and OKRs
- Lead portfolio and value-stream planning, making transparent calls based on value, capacity, dependencies and risk
- Maintain governance and executive reporting using outcome, flow, financial and DORA measures
- Own domain financial performance across £10-20m of investment - business cases, forecasting, ROI and cost optimisation
- Lead delivery risk and compliance management, embedding security, resilience, data privacy, PCI DSS, DMCC and Telecoms Security Act obligations
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Architecture and Operations leaders on delivery strategy and live-service performance
- Lead supplier governance and strengthen in-house SME capability
- Build high-performing multidisciplinary teams, bolster recruitment, coaching and succession
What you'll bring:
- Demonstrable leadership of a technology domain with investment accountability of at least £10m, ideally in mobile, telecoms or digital commerce
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across Product, Engineering, Architecture, Delivery and Operations
- Strong knowledge of portfolio management methodologies and a track record delivering technology-enabled change
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, comfortable with ambiguity
- Financial acumen across planning, tracking, reporting and forecasting
- Strong technical literacy across cloud-native/SaaS delivery, DevOps, CI/CD, SRE and operational excellence
- Proven experience transitioning work from suppliers to in-house teams
- Ability to shape operating models and investment around customer journeys and domain boundaries
- Data-driven leadership using OKRs, flow measures and DORA metrics
- Working knowledge of relevant compliance obligations, Telco regulatory bodies and experience delivering compliance related projects
