Opportunity: Delivery Transformation Lead (People & Team Transformation)
Location: Hybrid (Flexibility)
Duration: 6 Month Contract
Are you a proven "heavy hitter" in people transformation and project leadership? Do you thrive when stepping into dynamic environments to coach, elevate, and empower long-standing project management teams into high-performing units?
We are partnering with a leading, mid-sized specialist lender in the regulated financial services sector to find a high-impact Delivery Transformation Lead for a critical 6-month mandate.
The Challenge
This isn't about redesigning spreadsheets or tweaking process frameworks, this is a pure people-first transformation. Our client’s long-standing team of six project managers is at a pivotal inflection point. As business demands and strategic ambitions accelerate, the organisation requires a dedicated leader with significant gravitas to elevate individual competencies, modernize delivery mindsets, and drive performance accountability.
Your primary mandate is to build team capability from the inside out by:
- Capability Building & Benchmark Setting: Reviewing current capabilities against heightened expectations and defining a clear "step-up" path for high-performance project delivery.
- Coaching & Mentoring: Leading and developing an eclectic team of project managers with diverse approaches, nurturing individual potential and fostering a collaborative culture.
- Evolving Delivery Approaches: Transitioning the team toward modern ways of working, including Agile principles, Feature Team structures, and Value Stream delivery.
- Performance Leadership: Fostering a high-performance culture by supporting team members through change and growth, while working alongside HR to ensure clear performance expectations, ongoing development, and alignment with organisational standards.
- Executive Stakeholder Alignment: Using exceptional senior stakeholder influence to connect strategic ambition with day-to-day delivery execution.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
